This patient had undergone 3 previous strip surgery procedures. Yet, he was unsatisfied with his hairline and temples, especially since he constantly received stares from other people, causing him to feel very self conscious. The strip procedures had taken very thick hair from the safe donor area on the back of the head. However, when used exclusively in the hairline, this will create a very harsh and contrived looking hairline border. Furthermore, the placement of hairs from these procedures were poor, with the hairline being noticeably asymmetrical, and skewed to the side. After three procedures, the patient no longer had enough head donor grafts to fulfill his goals. Dr.Umar therefore relied on body hair to create an overall supply of 4000 grafts, consisting of head, nape and beard hair. The nape hair helped to soften the edges of the hairline line temples. Dr. Umar also reconstructed the outer edge of the hairline framework to create a more flattering and natural looking framework.
