This 34 year old female is shown 1 month after reduction of her jawline with injection of 10 units of Botox per masseter (bite muscle). She felt her jawline was masculine prior to treatment and is very pleased with the softening effect of reducing her jawline. She also notes less clenching and grinding of her teeth. The effects typically last between 4 and 6 months, though many patients go 9 to 12 months between treatments, as it takes some time for the muscles to grow large again. This treatment has not affected her ability to eat or chew whatsoever.
