Does having multiple breast surgeries increase the risk of capsular contracture?
Concern for Capsular Contracture
Oct 17, 2023
There can be more risk of developing capsular contracture with more surgeries. This is due to the fact that every time you do surgery, there is a risk of bleeding and contamination. However, with good technique, the chances of capsular contracture is very low.

If you are doing surgery on one breast, you can consider doing the other side, especially if you want to make changes to the implant size/shape/profile. If you are happy with the size and just looking to address the one breast...

Dent/gap in dorsum after revision rhinoplasty. Could this be my skin "shrink wrapping" unevenly? (
Nose Dent
Oct 17, 2023
As the swelling is completely resolving in your nose, you may be seeing the irregularities of the underlying structure. It may be difficult to address this without fillers or some sort of revision.

One option is trying a longer lasting filler such as Bellafil. For very small irregularities, this may be able to address your issue.

What’s happened to my breast implant?
It is difficult to say exactly what is happening in your case without an examination and with the limited photos.
Oct 12, 2023
It is difficult to say exactly what is happening in your case without an examination and with the limited photos.

There can be an issue with your current implant. You may need to undergo an MRI to see if anything can be found with integrity of the implant. If there is nothing revealing, you may consider speaking with your plastic surgeon regarding an exploration with possible implant replacement.

how does a septoplasty affect the structure of the nose?
Changes to the Nose After Septoplasty
Sep 18, 2023
Performing a septoplasty can certainly change the structure of the nose. If the septoplasty is too aggressive, this can create weakness in the nose structure and in the worse case scenario, cause collapse.

Most surgeons are careful to leave enough remaining septum to prevent this from happening. If you feel that your nose has changed from your previous rhinoplasty/septoplasty, you may consider undergoing a revision surgery with reinforcement grafts to reestablish the lost structure of...

3 months after minor injury and nose is pointing to one side - will this correct itself over time?
Nose Change After Injury
Sep 18, 2023
I am sorry to hear about the injury that you suffered. From your description, it sounds like you had a significant injury to your nose which may be permanent. Although cartilage is malleable and can return to the normal shape, you may have suffered both nasal and septal fractures at the time of the injury.

Immediately after the injury, you can undergo what is called a closed reduction to try to move the bones and cartilage back into place. However, it is unlikely to return back to its...

Fat grafting in hips, buttock and tummy tuck
Fat Grafting to Hips and Buttocks
Sep 18, 2023
You can undergo fat transfer to both the hips and buttocks to provide more feminine features. However, you would need a significant amount of fat to achieve this. You can harvest fat from various parts of the body, but that would require a good amount to achieve the changes that you are looking for.

If you do not have adequate fat for transfer, you may consider hip implants.

Can you still have CO2 Laser on the nose area for deep pimple marks if you had a Rhinoplasty?
CO2 Laser after Rhinoplasty
Sep 18, 2023
It is certainly safe to undergo CO2 laser after rhinoplasty. You do want to let your provider know that you have previously had a rhinoplasty so they can make whatever adjustments to the power and depth they need.
Is it normal for my skin to be peeling after nose for defatted?
Defatted Nose
Sep 18, 2023
Defatting the nasal tip flap is very common in Asian rhinoplasty as many patients have thick skin. This can be done too aggressively however and compromise the flap. However, given that the only changes that you are having is constant skin peeling, it does not seem that the tip skin was completely devascularized.

I would recommend seeing your original surgeon to see if there is anything that can be done to help with the constant peeling.

Which procedure would help me achieve more rounded hips?
You may benefit from two procedures.
Sep 15, 2023
You may benefit from two procedures. One to narrow your waist, and the other to fill in your hip dips. Liposuction of the flanks and lower back will create a narrower waist in your case. You can utilize the fat to augment the hip dip areas or utilize hip implants. You don't need a lot of hip augmentation. The combination of the narrowing of your waist with the small augmentation of your hips will create a significant improvement.
Are hip implants placed inside/behind muscle like properly placed butt implants?
Hip implants are typically placed above the muscle.
Sep 15, 2023
Unlike buttock and breast implants, hip implants are typically placed above the muscle. The implants are placed between the tensor fascia lata and the subcutanous fat. If you are very thin, the implant may be more visible, but usually there is enough soft tissue that hides the implant well.
Will skin in the hips be stretched after removing hip implants?
This will depend on how large of hip implants are placed.
Sep 15, 2023
This will depend on how large of hip implants are placed. If they are very large implants and the skin becomes very stretched, it may not completely contract. However, if the implants are more modest sized, then there is a good chance that the skin will contract. The implants get placed deep on top of the TFL and thus unless you are very thin, there should be a thick flap of tissue which is likely to contract.
Mesh visible inside of nostril - is it possible?
PCL Mesh
Jan 12, 2023
Although it is difficult to say for sure based on the photos, it is definitely possibly to have a foreign body implant to be extruding through the soft tissue.

I would recommend following-up with your surgeon who would be able to take a better look inside your nose to see if this is the case and can discuss with you what you would need to do if it were the case.

Would an alarplasty or rhinoplasty help me achieve my desired result? Concerned about flared nostr
Alarplasty vs Rhinoplasty
Jan 12, 2023
It is a little difficult to assess if you have a wide alar base based on these photos as eyes are blacked out. Traditionally, the width of the nose should be as wide as the intercanthal distance of the distance between the inner corners of your eyes.

Generally, doing an isolated alar base reduction does not give the best aesthetic result. You may be better off improving your nasal tip with increased projection and refinement. Oftentimes, when this is done, patients may not require any...

Can I achieve a refined nose tip from a tiplasty using ear cartilage and the nasal septum? (photos
Ear and Septal Cartilage
Jan 12, 2023
You may be able to achieve what you're looking for with ear and septal cartilage, but it may depend on the quality of your septal cartilage. It's very common for Asian patients to have very small and thin septal cartilage that may not be reliable enough for the desired result.

I would discuss with your surgeon the possibility of needing additional cartilage for support such as rib cartilage. You may have options for utilizing either autologous or donor rib cartilage.

Considering a breast augmentation - which incision placement would work best for me?
Incision Location for Breast Augmentation
Jan 12, 2023
The three main incisions for breast augmentation are IMF fold, peri-areolar, as well as trans-axillary.

It appears that your left breast fold is higher compared to your right and will need to be lowered for better symmetry. I typically advise patients away from peri-areolar incisions as they have the highest rate of capsular contracture. You may consider a trans-axillary approach as these scars heal very well and are difficult to see.
