22 female self-conscious about labia – is it worth going through all the pain and recovery? (
Each person has an ideal image
Sep 17, 2021
Thank you for your question. As others have mentioned, Labia come in different sizes and shapes and are all considered normal. However, each person has an ideal image of them selves and how she may wish to appear. The most common reason patients have a Labiaplasty procedure is because of being self-conscious of the appearance in or out of clothes.
It is important to have a consultation to review your anatomy because it’s not only what is removed/reduced, it’s also what is left behind tha…
What surgery should I get? Do I need a revision labiaplasty?
Labiaplasty: completing the picture
Sep 8, 2021
Thank you for your question and for sharing your photos. Although difficult to see the full results of your Labiaplasty from the photos that you’ve submitted, your concerns are apparent. Very commonly surgeons unfamiliar with vulvar anatomy, perform a Labiaplasty in the simplest form. That is give the patient what they asked for…smaller Labia. However, it is also the responsibility of the surgeon to take into account not only what is taken away but what is left behind.
When the labia min…
30 year old, olive skin – Anti-aging laser – Halo or Clear & Brilliant?
Fitzpatrick Type 4 can have excellent results with Laser
Sep 28, 2020
Thank you for your question. Type 4 skin has to be approached with care as with all patients that have melanin tick. Complications such as hyperpigmentation can be mitigated by using proper settings, skin prep, and the right laser.
Halo is a fractional hybrid with robust, tunable settings for each skin type and condition making for a true color-blind treatment.
Halo is an excellent choice for darker skin types.
An in person consultation would help identify your areas of concern.
Is there a certain amount of time after a labiaplasty I have to wait before having a clitoria
Wait time between revision surgery
Apr 19, 2020
Thank you for your question. Although this isn’t necessarily a revision rather a missed opportunity to provide the best outcome, you should wait at least 12 weeks before having surgery in the area. I say this because labiaplasty surgery when performed under Insurance often only address the “one thing” that you complained about without consideration for what’s left behind. After an evaluation with an experienced Labiaplasty surgeon you will likely be recommended to address all areas to p…
Can you get Thermiva treatment while on accutane?
Intra-Vaginal is safe with Accutane
Sep 2, 2019
Thank you for your question. Although, Energy based treatments to the face is generally not recommended for patients while taking accutane, there is no concern with having any intravaginal treatment including ThermiVa. If it’s time for your touch-up, you can proceed without concerns. Of course you should discuss this with your provider.
