It does appear darker compared to the other side. This can be because of pooled blood underneath it or compromised blood supply. The best thing to do is continue to have it be evaluated by your plastic surgeon, and see how much of it survives.

I am 19 days post-op can I switch to zip up sports bra?

I allow my patients a greater degree of freedom after their surgery, and encourage them to wear a sports bra after surgery. However, every surgeon has his own protocol, but it would be reasonable to contact your plastic surgeon and ask him if you can switch over to a sports bra.

Is a breast reduction safe at 64? My first consultation I was told I would be under for 10 hours.

Age is not a contraindication for breast reduction surgery. If you are medically healthy, and this can be confirmed by your primary physician, you should be a candidate for breast reduction surgery. You should be seen by a board certified Plastic Surgeon to be evaluated for this procedure, which usually takes 2-2.5 hours to complete.

It is not unusual to have some redness after surgery on the incision line as a reaction to the surgery and sutures. If it is accompanied by fever or tenderness of the breast, that would be a sign of infection. Your plastic surgeon has some concerns, hence he has started you on a second course of antibiotics, because of the underlying implant. You should continue to follow with him, and in my experience, most often, the redness settles fairly quickly. I hope this answers your question…

You have part of the skin flaps not survive after the reduction. Fortunately, the underlying tissue seems to have good circulation and it is producing granulation tissue. Usually there is not much pain, but that varies from patient to patient. Surprisingly, the end result is usually not bad after it heals, because the skin grows in from the edges and closes up the wound. The resulting scar is wider but improves over time. Optimally, you should wait 3-6 months after getting a breast augmentation to get a mammogram, to prevent some of the pain and tenderness you might feel with pressure and manipulation on a postoperative area. There is a lot of pull and tension on wounds in this area. With a T-junction, the blood supply can be an issue, preventing it healing normally. Fortunately, you can see healthy granulation tissue in the armpit (probably not muscle). This is an indication that the wound will close without surgical intervention. Your best option is to be seen on a regular basis by your plastic surgeon, and to be patient. Wish you a quick recovery.

Having a droopy eyelid after Botox is because some of the injection migrated from above the brow to below, and affected the muscle that lifts up the eyelid. I try to avoid this by staying at least 1 cm above the eyebrow, and not going deeper than the muscle in my injections to this area. If the lid is drooping, more botox below the brow is not going to fix, because that works only for a sagging brow, not a sagging eyelid.

It takes 2 weeks for swelling to go away. Asymmetry can still get better. I would go and see the plastic surgeon after 2 weeks, if the swelling persists.
Dissolving it is an options, but that may not be predictable in its results too.

Botox is usually charged by either the number of units injected or areas covered, I prefer to keep my pricing simple, between 11 and 14$ a unit, depending upon if there are any specials. I usually inject 30-50 units per patient, over the forehead, around the eyes and between the eyebrows. This works out to $300-550 for the patient, depending upon the needs of the patient, the area to be covered and the muscular activity of their facial muscles.

Most of the activity of Botox in softening lines of expression is seen in the first 2-4 days after injeclion. There may be some additional activity for the next week, so patients can get their results evaluated 2 weeks after injection.
Patients can get Botox injected every 4 months or when muscle activity returns. There is no limit to how long one can keep getting Botox.

Immediate swelling after Juvederm injection can be because of a reaction to the injection, or a tiny amount of bleeding. If you see asymmetry, I would advise waiting for 2-3 days for most of the swelling to resolve. 8 hours is certainly too soon. If there is still a difference from one side to another, you can get the asymmetry corrected, after being evaluated by the person that did your injection.
