I have a tribal mark on my face, how can I get it removed?
Tribal mark removal
Oct 3, 2020
Roberta, this would be easy to remove with a 1064nm YAG Q-switched laser. Look for a qualified physician who performs laser tattoo removal on a regular basis.

Wait before starting Tatttoo Removal
Sep 30, 2020
Typically you should wait a minimum of 8 weeks before starting laser removal to allow the new tattoo to fully heal. Some physicians recommend as long as 6 months. You would benefit from using a combination of a Qswitched laser and a Picosecond laser. The Q switched laser to fade the ink and then after the ink is faded switching to a Pico second laser to finish. That will decrease the chances of blistering in my experience.
Any thoughts on timing/frequency and its effect on results?
Timing and frequency of Emsculpt
Sep 25, 2020
The original studies used to get FDA approval of Emsculpt used 2 treatments twice a week for a total of 4 treatments. Follow up treatments could probably be done once weekly or even less frequently.
Does anyone know approximately how many sessions would be needed to fade this tattoo?
Tattoo fading
Sep 1, 2020
Generally it will take a minimum of 5 treatments to fade this for a cover up. However, depending on your artist and the replacement tattoo, it could be more or less.

Thanks for the question. Just looking at your picture it looks as if you may have some Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH) following laser treatments. My suggestion is that you should take time off from treatments to allow your skin to recover. PIH can resolve on its own over a prolonged period of time or you may need to use a 4% Hydroquinone cream to help. Talk to your Dermatologist about treatment options.

Persistent odor after 2 miraDry treatments
Aug 13, 2019
Unfortunately, some people don’t get the response they are looking for from the miraDry procedure. In your case the glands that produce odor are probably too deep and therefore not affected by the treatment. I would think that a third treatment wouldn’t be any more effective than the previous 2 treatments and I wouldn’t recommend a third treatment.
Probable and worrying nerve damage post Miradry. Will I ever recover or am I definitely doomed?
Persistent numbness after miraDry
Aug 11, 2019
While it isn’t normal after the miraDry to have persistent numbness, it is a known risk. It may take up to six months to resolve, but it usually does improve with time. I would recommend following up with the provider who performed your procedure and see if there is anything else that needs to be done.
