Should I get Botox or Dysport for wrinkle prevention?
Wrinkle Prevention
Feb 4, 2020
Both Botox and Dysport are neuromodulators that work to address expression lines. At the end of the day it is a matter of preference, we all have our own preference. Asking which is better, Botox or Dysport, is like asking which tissue is better Kleenex or Puffs? Both do a great job at what they were designed to do. Botox and Dysport are used to treat and help to prevent future and current wrinkles provided the medications are administered and dosed appropriately. Whether you decide to treat...
Can I get Botox/Dysport during my period/menstrual cycle?
Botox
Feb 4, 2020
Having a neuromodulator administered during your cycle should have no effect on the outcome of your treatment. The effects of the neuromodulator are reduction in muscle function and a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles of the area treated.
Frequency between Hydrafacial treatments?
Frequency of Hydrafacial treatments
Feb 4, 2020
Hydrafacials are a great way to help maintain skin health. Depending on the condition of your skin, various frequency protocols are utilized. When dealing with a specific condition we’re trying to correct, a frequency of every other week would be most beneficial, usually for a series of 4-6 treatments. For routine maintenance, a 4-6 week interval is generally effective.

Can Hydrafacial be done on the eyelids ?
Hydrafacials on eyelids
Jan 28, 2020
Hydrafacial is not recommended for the delicate tissue around the eyes. The lymphatic drainage/massage component of the Hydrafacial treatment (this is an add on available in most locations performing the Hydrafacial treatment) can be added for some benefit to the delicate area. Of course there are other treatment options to address this delicate area, but Hydrafacial would not be on of them.
What is the difference between facial treatment machines?
Differences in Facial treatments
Jan 21, 2020
There are a multitude of facial treatment machines on the market, with new treatments and technology being added and developed regularly. They all do an effective job of mechanically exfoliating the skin, but each uses different modalities to do so. If you drew a Venn diagram with the 3 treatments you mentioned as your subjects, there would be significant crossover, but each treatment would also have individual components that would be unique to that treatment. I would encourage you to try...

Hydrafacial and breast feeding
Sep 17, 2019
Pregnancy and nursing are both contraindications for receiving the Hydrafacial treatment due to the chemicals used in some of the solutions of the treatment. The treatment can be altered to be safely administered while nursing or pregnant. The treatment is still great, but it will not be the same as the full array of solutions. There are other alternatives that may be offered.

Sep 17, 2019
We do not recommend receiving EMSculpt treatments in any area while pregnant. Pregnancy is considered a contraindication for these treatments. Why does it take time to see results my Emsculpt results on my stomach and butt?
EMSculpt and seeing results
Sep 17, 2019
Due to the nature of the treatments and the reaction to the therapy, the results are not immediate. Not unlike going to the gym and exercising rigorously, muscle tissue takes time to build. Multiple sessions are needed for optimal completion. A maintenance program will help ensure lasting results.
Should I get Botox first, then filler once Botox has kicked in? Also, does filler set, or does it c
Botox and Fillers
Sep 17, 2019
While both treatments are working to improve your overall appearance, Botox and Fillers are not working to accomplish the exact same goals. One is a neuromodulator (Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau) and one is likely a HA (Hyaluronic Acid) filler used to add volume where it is depleted. We would decide which to administer first based on what areas are being treated. Not all areas are indicated for both treatments. In general, Botox and the like are less invasive and therefore are a great starting...
Can I get Botox while on 5FU chemo?
5FU chemo and Botox
Sep 17, 2019
There are both topical and oral 5FU therapy. Assuming topical 5FU, Botox would be best prior to initiating 5FU therapy or after completing therapy. 5FU can cause significant inflammation with crusting and weeping. These side effects increase the risk of infection. It would be best if the 5FU treatment was completed then do the botox treatment.
Botox resistance - taking a break helps?
Botox Resistance
Sep 3, 2019
If you are resistant to the effects of a neurotoxin, it is very likely that you may have a neutralizing antibody. If you have a neutralizing antibody, it is there whether its 2-3 years or 10 years plus. We find changing the specific neuromodulator, has helped to restore the result or efficacy. ie: try a different product (Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau)
Is it safe for me to get Emsculpt on my abdomen after laparoscopy?
EMSculpt after Laproscopy
Sep 3, 2019
If you are cleared for activities, you are cleared for activities. If metal staples were used or there is any metal residual in the area, this would be a contraindication. We would be inclined to say 6-8 weeks post-surgery would be best.
