Years experience: 10
Biography: I started my career as a Registered Nurse, BSN, in 1980 while working in the operating room spent the next 14 years working throughout the United States as a surgical nurse in the O.R. In 1994 I moved to Kansas City where I transitioned to aesthetic nursing and spent the next 13 years as a private scrub nurse working alongside internationally recognized surgeon, Dr. Ted Lockwood. During this time I continued to broaden my love for aesthetics and obtained my aestheticians license and began training as a Nurse Injector.

After relocating to Arizona in 2015 I joined Dr. Shapiro’s practice where I worked as his private surgical nurse and in 2018 became one of his full time Nurse Injectors. I was able to bring my aesthetic vision to use by restoring and enhancing patients natural beauty with neurotoxins and dermal fillers.

I proudly hold a CANS (Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist) certification and am a member of ISPAN (International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses).

During this time I was published in Allure Magazine’s May issue for being one of the best hair removal experts and providing the best Brazilian wax in the country. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Shapiro in 2004 and when presented with the opportunity to be one of his first full time aestheticians for the Paradise Valley Skin Klinic™ I was honored to join his team and work alongside his dedicated staff.

Do you have to use hydroquinone before and after non-ablative laser resurfacing to get results?
Using Hydroquinine before Laser
Oct 23, 2017
Thank you for your inquiry regarding  laser. It is ideal if you can use a combination of Retin A and Hydroquinone to prep the skin before any type of laser. However, if your skin is reacting to the Hydroquinone which is a bleaching type product to reduce brown spots ,I recommend to stop it and continue using just the Retin A. I would still plan on doin the non-ablative laser.Good luck
I am allergic to eggs, what are the alternatives to botox?
Botox and Egg Allergy
Feb 27, 2017
Hello and thank you for your question. There is no known correlation to an egg allergy and Botox, you should have no issues.
How long does the results of Kybella last?
How long does Kybella last?
Jan 20, 2017
Kybella results are long lasting unlike Botox and dermal fillers. Kybella is created from Deoxycholic acid, an organic chemical found in the human body. While the fat cells are dissolved with Kybella, healthy tissues remain unharmed. Once Kybella is placed in the predetermined areas of submental fat, the body will slowly dissolve and metabolizes these cells, slowly sculpting and tightening below the chin.
Original eyelashes are straight. If using Latisse dose it helps to curl them?
Does Latisse curl your eyelashes?
Nov 4, 2015
Latisse is a prescription medication to make your eyelashes longer, fuller and darker. Latisse does not help curl the lashes.
So what if I stop using Latisse? Will my eyelashes go back to what they were before using latisse?
What happens if you stop using Latisse?
Sep 24, 2015
Upon discontinuation of treatment, eyelash growth is expected to return to its pre-treatment level. Latisse must be used consistently to keep your lashes long and full.
