PRP does burn when injected especially when activated by Calcium Chloride. It is normal to massage the area after the injection so that the fluid is distributed evenly before it gels.

I do not recommend PRP procedures when you have an active infection of any kind. It is better to let it settle as these are elective procedures. That being said PRP procedures can activate a herpes infection if you already carry the virus in your body. When my clients have a strong history of recurrent episodes i offer them a prescription for the infection so that they will have it available should it happen.

It is recommended that Calcium be used to activate the PRP for injections and not the micro needle facial. I use Calcium Gluconate and that does not burn which is why I use it. I have also been told at classes I have attended that some MDs from England use lidocaine instead. So the fact that you did not have pain does not mean that the PRP was not activated. You must have liked your initial treatment enough to want to do it again. Why stress over it? Or real simple, call the MD who did it...

There is no reason to stop the Tylenol but you should hold anything that can interfere with platelet function. These include ibuprofen, aleve, toradol etc for 48 hours before and 48 to 72 hours after. I also tell my clients to hold the omega/fish oils.

Typically they do not recommend RF in the presence of metal implants in the vicinity of the treatment. Metal clips in your tubes should not pose a problem as they are away from the vagina. The energy does not penetrate deep enough to affect it. We do procedures on ladies with IUDs with no adverse reactions and as you know that is closer to the treatment area than the clips on your tubes.

This depends on what you are treating and the depth of the needle used. Shallow needles penetrate less and may be less effective. I use a 2 mm to 3 mm needle depending on skin texture and quality.. If you are just rejuvenating normal skin, you will see the difference with one treatment within 2 weeks. If you have a problem skin then you may need multiple treatments to resolve the condition..
