The RIM look is the most common appearance patients obtain with labial surgery worldwide. The goal with the RIM is to gain symmetry and remove large labia. It is the most conservative in that just the excess bulging or “dark rim” is removed. Precise labial reduction leaves a smaller rim of Labia Minora above the level of the Labia Major (larger lips) to reduce its prominence, give the patient a more natural look, and increase patient comfort.
