Answer Snippet
Do you think I can achieve a wider smile with Invisalign?
‘klinikō Miami Answers Your Question
Oct 30, 2021
With Invisalign we have the ability to expand the upper pallet and upper arch to a certain degree without traditional brackets/wires/expanders. You may be a good candidate but it will be important to get a thorough diagnostic. Check out what your dentist/orthodontist has to say!
Is teeth whitening the right course to fix this discolouration on my front two teeth?
klinikō Miami Answers Your Question
Oct 30, 2021
Without proper oral evaluation and radiographic imaging, it’ll be challenging to determine the cause for the discoloration. Knowing if it is intrinsic or extrinsic will help direct proper treatment. If it is intrinsic then teeth whitening will not help and porcelain veneers may be an option. Be sure to ask your dentist for the reason why this started and he or she will be able to guide you best! Hope this helps.
Teeth extraction before Invisalign
klinikō Miami Answers Your Question
Oct 30, 2021
I would recommend a consultation with an orthodontist for your specific case before undergoing tooth extraction or Invisalign. This will help get another perspective on the best treatment route for you and your desired results! Remember the form and function of your jaw is important!
Can I do composite binding before Invisalign refinements?
‘klinikō Miami Answers Your Question
Oct 30, 2021
The location of the composite binding would be an important consideration. It is best advised that all refinements with bonding are done prior to any cosmetic enhancement. Hope this helps!
Could orthodontics help my canines match better in height and/or angle after Invisalign?
‘klinikō Miami Answers Your Question
Oct 30, 2021
Yes! Invisalign or other clear aligners can help with correction or misalignment and certain degrees of angulation per tooth. Overall, ask your dentist/orthodontist before agreeing to any definitive treatment plan.
For instance at my practice we do a preliminary screening with full diagnostic examination and through digitalization/modeling we can visualize an end result so you can visually get your question answered. Ask your dentist if this is something he or she offers.
