This man couldn't breathe well through his nose, but also felt it was too big. However, he didn't want to lose his "family nose" completely. Now, at 3 months postop, his nose not only works, but it fits his face much better as well. We intentionally did not "erase" the ethnicity of his nose though. It is very important when considering rhinoplasty to understand how the nose can represent one's heritage. Patients don't always want to look "different" and it's important for a rhinoplasty surgeon to acknowledge and respect that.
