Is charging a fee for spider veins based on multitude of veins or by skin type?
Spider Vein Treatment Charges
Apr 7, 2020
For spider and varicose veins, many offices will charge by the syringe if doing sclerotherapy or by time if using a laser. There would be no reason to charge for skin type. Hope that helps.
What should I incorporate in my routine with oily skin and enlarged pores at 41?
Acneic skin and large pores
Apr 7, 2020
For your skin type, I would strongly recommend using medical grade skin care products such as ZO or Epionce. For ZO, Exfoliating Cleanser, Exfoliating Polish (which is a scrub), Complexion Renewal Pads, Instant Pore Refiner and Renewal Cream is a great regimen. For Epionce, the Lytic Gel Cleanser, Lytic Sport, and Renewal Lite Lotion with Purifying Spot Gel for break outs is another great regimen. Having regular in office treatments such as yearly Halo (this is a fantastic...
I have had surgery on my right lower eyelid 2 years ago and I have a scar. Is there a way I can get
Eye Scars
Apr 7, 2020
There are a few modalities you can use to help with that scar. Because it is so close to your eye, any laser treatment would probably need to be done with internal eye shields (like contacts). Options include BBL Forever Young for the redness, Halo for the scar tissue, plasma pen, and microneedling. My personal favorite for you is microneedling with platelet rich plasma (aka vampire facial) since this can help with both the redness and the scar itself. PRP will...
What can I try for red scars because of a peeling that went wrong two years ago?
Redness after Peeling
Apr 7, 2020
There are a variety of ways to treat redness that occurs naturally or after a procedure. BBL Forever Young is a great no downtime procedure that can significantly improve redness, hyperpigmentation, and the health of your skin. LED light can help for a lesser intense treatment but it will require more sessions. Go get a consultation with a reputable office that offers many different technologies and have them see you in person. Good luck.
Does Plasma Pen cause scar tissue that may make getting a face lift more difficult in later life?
Plasma Pen and scar tissue
Apr 7, 2020
Plasma pen does not cause scar tissue. It can treat scars even. I would make sure you see someone who is experienced in Plasma Pen and does not have a "knock off" pen they are using on you.
I'm 53. Is my skin too old to benefit from CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting and skin
Apr 7, 2020
Thank you for sending your pictures, they really help in answering this question. It seems that your main issue is one of skin elasticity and not fat. You could Coolsculpt the arms but typically we treat the under arm and not the front. The problem you don't like is that our skin is sagging there and you would benefit more from microneedling or Skin Tyte than CoolSculpting to get the result you want. Maybe you would need both. Hard to say. As for the front of...
I received reduction two years. I'm still very unhappy with my scars. Is there anything I can do? (p
Scars Post Op
Jan 6, 2020
There are a few procedures you could try to help these, such as PRP injections and or microneedling. Most likely, you will require a series of them though. Good luck.
Does Kybella cause PAD (paradoxical adipose hyperplasia)?
Kybella complications
Jan 6, 2020
I do not believe Kybella causes paroxysmal hyperplasia. This can happen from Coolsculpting, that is correct, but not common. Sounds like maybe some fat was killed but there is still more to get. Maybe you didnt have enough Kybella. I would recommend seeing a provider you trust to get their opinion in person.
6 months post-op and since then my lower back jaw has been numb. I can barely move my mouth or chew
Kybella Complications
Jan 6, 2020
Kybella does kill fat, that is true., And if there was loose skin to begin with, sometimes that can get exacerbated once the fat is less (but it can also get better if the fat was pulling down on the skin). As for the rest of the symptoms you are having, they are most likely not the result of Kybella. I would recommend seeing your primary care provider.
Spots not removed by IPL. What else can be done?
Hyperpigmentation
Oct 28, 2019
There are many types of IPLs out there and perhaps you are not getting s very good one. BBL is the best on the market, and I would try to find an experienced provider in your area. You can also try Halo or plasma Pen. These all can help treat these annoying spots. However, they are going to continue to come up (since UV exposure is inevitable and most of these are from exposure from years ago) so you will need to be vigilant about sunscreen and ongoing treatments....
Is the forever young BBL treatment safe for someone with Vitiligo?
BBL and Vitiligo
Oct 28, 2019
I would not recommend any light or laser treatments for someone with Vitiligo. You never know if it can stimulate the disease in a new location or if it will make the skin of your face too light since you are prone to hypopigmentation. Better to be safe than sorry in this case since hypopigmentation is very difficult to treat (as you know).
Is it really the natural HA that's been removed and the filler is still present?
Hyaluronidase and Fillers
Oct 28, 2019
Hyaluronidase is naturally occurring in our bodies. We continue to make hyaluronic acid but this occurs at a lower level as we age. Hyaluronidase does dissolve fillers, but it can also dissolve some of our own natural hyaluronic acid. But, when we hate the filler that was placed, you "risk" dissolving some of your own hyaluronic acid to get rid of the filler. You will make more hyaluronic acid, so do not worry too much about that. And, once you get rid of the...
What product would you recommend to fill the malar line below my eye, as well as filling in the tear
Tear trough filler
Oct 28, 2019
Tear troughs are difficult to treat. With that being said, I really like Belotero. It is soft enough one could mold it into the correct position. It does not cause any blue discoloration like some other products do when placed in an area with such thin skin. It is also on the relatively cheaper side of the filler spectrum. Make sure your injector is experienced in tear troughs though since they are very unforgiving. Good luck.
Which laser would be best for trying to dissolve filler (Vollure) under eyes as an alternative to Hy
Vollure in the tear troughs
Oct 28, 2019
Looking at your pictures, and knowing about the Vycross technology that Juvederm products use, I would recommend seeing a plastic surgeon. You may need more than just an attempt at dissolution. Perhaps a lower blepharoplasty may be the best option. See a plastic surgeon who is experienced in filler as well as eye work so you can get an objective opinion in person for what is best for you.
Are my cheeks asymmetrical? If yes, are fillers an option?
Asymmetrical Cheeks
Oct 28, 2019
It does look like you have a little more fullness in your left cheek than the right. Perhaps you sleep on the right side? Try sleeping on your back to start to help prevent more loss on that side. You could try fillers to help balance it out but make sure you got to an experienced injector since it is such a slight difference. Good luck.
