Do lip fillers fade faster due to electric toothbrush usage?
Lip filler duration
Nov 15, 2023
No unless you're brushing your lip, not your teeth. Fillers dissolve faster in patients who exercise a lot and have a high metabolic rate.

Best wishes,

Can I make my nose look similar to this?
Narrowing of nose
Nov 15, 2023
The picture quality is quite low and out of focus but generally speaking a nose can be narrowed with various methods. The balance of the nose and face must be maintained and the nasal skin thickness matters. It is best to see a rhinoplasty specialist for a consultation to discuss your goals.

Thomas Walker, MD, FACS

Would an ethnic rhinoplasty help me achieve my desired results?
Ethnic rhinoplasty
Oct 31, 2023
A rhinoplasty consultation in person with a rhinoplasty expert is crucial to address candidacy for surgery including your goals. Photos will likely be taken (we always do) and computer imaging performed.

Rhinoplasty advice - what would you change on my nose?
Rhinoplasty
Jun 1, 2023
I would support the nasal tip and rotate it slightly cephalically, deproject the nasal tip, refine the nasal tip, straighten the nose, and remove a hump if present which is not apparent from the photos you provided.

Best to see a rhinoplasty expert in person. We see out of town patients on a regular basis and offer virtual consults as well.

Dorsal irregularity after rhinoplasty
May 30, 2023
Best to follow-up with your surgeon or a revision rhinoplasty expert making sure you don't have an inverted-V deformity, which requires more than just rasping.

Why can’t I smile 6 months post op?
Smile after rhinoplasty
May 30, 2023
By your description, you likely had a caudal septal extension graft placed that can certainly impact smiling. It is indeed unlikely at this point due to the depressor septi muscle. If this is something that bothers you, discuss your options with your surgeon. Nothing went wrong with your surgery and placement of a septal extension graft is critical for nasal tip support and long-term results. A minor revision MIGHT be an option but your surgeon will know best.

Is a minor revision worth it/necessary?
Imperfection after rhinoplasty
May 25, 2023
There is always a risk of having a new imperfection or residual imperfection. The outcome is greatly dependent on your surgeon's skills and partly on your healing process. Your level of dissatisfaction with your current result should be the driving force whether or not you entertain a revision surgery. Imperfections are normal and to be expected, though, at least to some extent.

Is safe to get fIller in the pyriform aperture region before revision rhinoplasty?
Filler before rhinoplasty
May 25, 2023
I would wait until after surgery. Compromised blood supply is always a concern and nasal tip skin necrosis is a real risk.

Crooked nose after rhinoplasty
May 25, 2023
Hard to tell and don't know how far out you are from surgery. Looks like you have a C-shape deformity. Best to follow-up with your surgeon and follow his or her advice. If still present after 6-9 months, unlikely due to swelling and a revision surgery can then be considered although we generally like waiting a whole year before considering a revision rhinoplasty.

Buccal fat removal or chin filler?
Jawline contouring
May 25, 2023
You have a beautiful face but could consider a buccal fat removal, chin augmentation (filler or implant), and possible Botox or Dysport injections into your masseter muscles. Best to have a consultation in person to assess.

Can I do rhino, lip lift & lower blepharoplasty all in one?
Combo rhinoplasty, lip lift, and lower bleph
May 25, 2023
The short answer is yes, you generally can assuming you're a candidate for general anesthesia and a candidate for those procedures.

Strangely shaped nose, can the bone be fixed with fillers so I can only have surgery for the
Liquid rhinoplasty
May 24, 2023
Not sure why you want as little surgical intervention as possible especially given that a liquid rhinoplasty doesn't last forever (generally 1 year only) and if you undergo surgery, all issues should be addressed and corrected. A surgery can accomplish many things that a liquid rhino can't. Adding filler to the nose, by definition, makes the nose larger, not smaller. Irregularities can't be smoothened; they just can't be camouflaged. Humps can't be reduced; they can be camouflaged. Surgery...
Would a rhinoplasty help balance my face?
Rhinoplasty candidacy
May 24, 2023
One can't have any thoughts without photos despite your thorough description. If you don't like your nasal appearance and feel like your face is off balance, rhinoplasty is a great option assuming your goals can be met and assuming you are healthy and a good candidate for general anesthesia. Best to schedule a consultation. We offer virtual ones as do many other surgeons.

Raised incision scar - what is going on with my nose?
Raised scar
May 24, 2023
Sorry but the photos are too far away to tell. Always best to follow your surgeons advice and if still concerned get a second opinion in person. This requires an evaluation in the office. Raised scars with skin edge eversion are usually a good thing as scars flatten with time.

Skin on nose after rhinoplasty. Is this normal?
Erythema after rhinoplasty
May 24, 2023
Please follow-up with your surgeon! Skin necrosis after 9 months is extremely unlikely. Would have occurred sooner. An IPL treatment may help. Prolonged erythema, especially if a rib graft was used, is not unusual.
