What laser would be best to get ride of my mottled skin (marble looking) or what I can do to
Laser treatments for mottled skin
Aug 6, 2019
It’s difficult to tell for sure by your photograph, but it looks as though the mottled appearance of your skin is due to a combination of capillaries and pigment blotchiness. I would recommend starting with several BBL Laser treatments, followed by Halo Laser. These two lasers particularly when used together, are very synergistic for reducing blotchy or mottled appearance of the skin. I hope you find this information helpful.
What is the recovery time for laser assist lipsuction
Laser Assisted Liposuction Recovery Time
Jul 8, 2019
Recovery time from Laser Assisted Liposuction is very dependent upon the areas performed, amount of fat removed as well as the technique used by your surgeon. We use the Sciton Allura laser to perform the bulk of the procedure. We also use the Zerona low level laser after the tumescent infusion to liquify the fat cells as well as reduce the post-op discomfort, swelling and bruising. Our patients are typically back to work and normal daily activities in a couple of days…
I know you cannot get rid of cellulite, but what is the best way to reduce or minimize? (Pho
Cellulite Treatment
Jun 22, 2019
Cellulite is a universal problem and can be very frustrating. There is no treatment available that can completely eliminate cellulite, but I have had excellent results using Sciton’s CelluSmooth laser in my patients with cellulite. The procedure is minimally invasive and is performed under local anesthesia with minimal downtime. A few very tiny incisions are required to insert the fiberoptic laser, which is used to break up adhesions that cause…
Can Sculptra be used on the hands?
Hand Rejuvenation
Jun 22, 2019
There are many options available to rejuvenate your hands. I have had the best results with a combination of hyaluronic acid fillers, such as Juvederm Ultra Plus and both ablative and non-ablative laser treatments. For non-ablative laser treatments, we have had excellent results with the BBL laser to reduce sun damage, brown spots and help stimulate collagen production. The ablative laser I like the best for hand rejuvenation is the ProFractional laser….
Is it better to get Pico laser first to improve my complexion and then eye bag surgery after
Pico laser and Lower Eyelid Surgery
Jun 22, 2019
You raise an excellent question regarding the timing of the two procedures. I have been performing laser lower eyelid surgery for “eyebag” removal for over 20 years and we also do a large volume of Pico laser for pigment and sun damage using the Enlighten III Pico Laser. I would recommend having your lower lid surgery first and a few months later, if you still have significant pigment problems, sun damage or wrinkles of the lower eyelids, consider Pico laser at that…
My aesthetician told me that I must use skin whitening cream a week before I do laser resurf
Skin lightening before laser resurfacing
Jun 19, 2019
You raised an excellent question. Depending on your skin type and which laser treatment you are having, I may recommend skin lightening cream prior to laser resurfacing. These creams (such as hydroquinone 4%, sometimes along with retinoic acid) are best if used at least 2 weeks prior to your treatment and are sometimes resumed several weeks afterward. I hope you find this information helpful. Good luck with your treatment!
Pastel colored tattoo removal. What are the chances of having it removed completely?
Pastel Tattoo Removal
Jun 19, 2019
With the proper laser, any color tattoo– pastel included– can be removed. We use the Enlighten III, the most effective tattoo removal laser available and have had excellent success with all color tattoos. With light pastel inks, it may take 8-10 treatments to reduce the tattoo as completely as possible. I hope this information is helpful.
Is it possible to achieve full removal of this black arm tattoo?
Black Tattoo Removal
Jun 17, 2019
Black is one of the most successful pigments to eliminate using the latest tattoo removal laser, the Cutera Enlighten III. Typically a tattoo like the one in your picture may take 5-8 treatment sessions with this laser. With about 6 weeks between treatment sessions, it may take up to a year to remove your tattoo. I hope you find this information helpful.
Laser removal for new, colorful, coverup?
Tattoo Removal
Jun 17, 2019
We have had great success using the Enlighten III laser, the fastest, most effective tattoo removal laser available for multi-colored, dense tattoos. Having said that, you should probably expect at least 8-10 treatments given the depth and density of the colors. Since the treatments need to be spaced approximately 6-8 weeks apart, it will likely take a good 12-18 months or so to significantly reduce the appearance of your tattoos. I hope you find this…
Can an old tattoo be removed w/out damaging the newer tattoos next to it?
Laser Tattoo Removal
Jun 12, 2019
Your older tattoo in the center should be able to be completely removed with the proper laser, without damaging the new tattoo. The best laser that treats all colors most effectively with the fewest number of treatments is the Enlighten III (PicoGenesis)– we have this laser in our office and have had excellent results with difficult tattoos. I hope this information is helpful.
Is zerona safe after liposuction?
Zerona after Lipo
Jun 11, 2019
Zerona is a low level laser that we use in our office as a stand alone procedure to reduce contours, or in conjunction with laser assisted liposuction to soften and liquify the fat. We also use it to reduce post op inflammation, pain, bruising and swelling after liposuction or even facial surgery such as facelifts. It is perfectly safe to use it after having a liposuction procedure.
Can Botox reduce the horizontal lines/creases above lips when I smile?
Botox for Lip Lines
Jun 11, 2019
In very small doses, Botox is an excellent treatment for lines above and around the lips such as those lines and creases evident in your photos. To get the maximal effect, you might want to consider filler as well. Another excellent, longer term treatment is laser resurfacing or ProFractional laser of the lines around the mouth. When used in combination with Botox, the results can last many years and give you the smoothest results.
Can filler give me a more defined jawline and a v shape chin?
Filler for Enhanced Jawline/Chin Definition
Jun 10, 2019
I frequently perform filler injections to enhance the jawline definition as well as chin projection and contour. With or without buccal fat removal, fillers are an excellent way to improve definition in the lower face. You may want to start with a shorter acting filler and if you like the results, advance to a longer acting filler next time.
Will laser resurfacing cause my ocular shingles to reoccur?
Recurrence of shingles after laser resurfacing
Jun 10, 2019
If you have a history of shingles around the eye, a recurrence is certainly possible after laser resurfacing of the face, so I would not recommend that laser procedure. It is also possible, though much less likely, to have a recurrent shingles outbreak after non-ablative laser procedures such as BBL. This may be a better option, but if you decide to have BBL for your facial redness I would suggest speaking with your physician about going on antiviral…
Can laser repair holes in skin and enlarged pores after microneedling, or is it too risky and likely
Laser resurfacing for enlarged pores after microneedling
Jun 10, 2019
Enlarged pores can be a difficult problem to treat, but a number of laser procedures may be helpful. Non-invasive procedures such as Broadband light (BBL) might help shrink the appearance of enlarged pores. I have had better success doing Erbium laser resurfacing to treat this problem. It needs to be performed carefully by someone very experienced in laser resurfacing, but I believe this may offer you the best solution to your problem.
