Topical anesthesia can be used prior to a Venus Legacy treatment. However, you should ensure that your skin is clean before the application of the Glide prior to the procedure.
The skin temperatures should not get much above 41ºC which for most people is quite comfortable. Higher temperatures are not needed for skin tightening and may result in fat loss in the face.

Your understanding of the process is accurate. You may not have any change from the first treatment because your immune system will only begin to clean up sufficiently small ink particles. So, you may need more than one treatment for the laser to break the ink into small enough pieces. Once it does, you will notice the tattoo start to fade but it will take several weeks.
