Give it time
May 28, 2019
Hi there. There can be lumps after lip filler. This may have become more noticeable after some swelling went down. Your injector can give you guidance on how this should be managed – this may depend on what specific Juvederm product was used. In some cases, massage can be helpful. In any case, it’s not unusual for it to take a week for two for things to settle down. Continue to follow up with your injector for now. He/she will know what the best course is for you moving forward.

May 28, 2019
Hello. It’s hard to fully assess your results without before and after photos as well as some assessment of facial movement. Therefore, it’s best to follow up with your injector for an in person evaluation. At this point, a revision can be performed if needed. Best of luck.
Lumps on forehead still 38 hours after Botox. What should I do?

May 28, 2019
The bumps at injection sites typically go down within a few hours at most. This is not normal. I’d recommend you follow up with your injector for an in person evaluation. Best of luck.
Should I be worried if I have swelling 2 days after Botox?
Swelling two days after Botox is not normal.
May 28, 2019
Hello. It is not normal to have swelling at injection sites two days later. Typically, the bumps go down within a few hours of the injection. I recommend you contact your injector as soon as possible for an evaluation.

You are likely a good candidate – see an Oculoplastic Surgeon
Feb 6, 2019
Hi there. From the photos, it appears you would be a great candidate for upper blepharoplasty. You are not too young – I don’t consider age to be a factor. Review of your medical history and formal in person evaluation is necessary to confirm that are are a candidate, discuss expectations, and formalize a plan. I recommend you see a skilled Oculoplastic Surgeon. Roll Tide.
How can my eyelid be fixed after canthoplasty following ectropion from a previous hemorrhage?
Give it more time
Feb 5, 2019
Sorry to hear that have you not had the smoothest post operative course. It’s hard to appreciate the fine details in single image, so ultimately, an in person examination is needed to help address your specific concerns. However, your canthoplasty was one week ago. It is too early to tell what kind of result you will have. Once you are a few months out from your most recent surgery, filler could be considered if you have a tear trough deformity. I would advise that you wait at…
Can lip fillers lift the top centre of my lip?
Targeted Botox Lip Flip, possibly Filler
Feb 5, 2019
I would consider a conservative approach in a case like yours and first consider a Botox lip flip to the area of concern. Follow up in 1 week or so and add additional Botox as needed. Once that has taken effect, re evaluate to see if a small amount of volume with filler may be beneficial. Worst case scenario would be that you did not like the outcome from one or both of these procedures. Botox will wear off after 3 months. Filler can be reversed and will otherwise get broken down by your…

The contact lens is helping you
Feb 1, 2019
Hi there. It sounds like you were having irritation of your cornea – the front clear part of the eye. This is one of the most sensitive parts of the body. I infer that you probably had ptosis repair approached from the inside of the eyelid. Occasionally, a patient may feel irritation from the sutures on the inside surface of the lid in which case placing a bandage contact lens is helpful. It provides a barrier to prevent further irritation during the healing process. When I…
Is it possible to correct hollows in the inner corners of the eyes?
Tear trough fillers can help – seen an oculoplastic surgeon
Feb 1, 2019
Hi there. I can’t comment specifically on your case because the image is blurry and small. However, tear trough filler can be given medially (inner aspect near the nose). I use a cannula under the muscle with a filler that is thin so to speak to treat this part of the tear trough. With this delicate method great results can be achieved. To see if you are a candidate for tear trough filler and upper blepharoplasty, you would be best served by visiting an oculoplastic surgeon who is skilled in…
Surgical Lip Lift, Botox Lip Flip, or Lip Fillers? What would be best for me?
Consider Botox Lip flip and Botox for Masseter, possibly Lip Filler
Feb 1, 2019
Hi there. With regard to the distance from nose to lip, a surgical lip lift would turn out your the upper lip. Given your concerns about your profile, I wouldn’t consider it at this time as it would make this worse.
If you are concerned about the horizontal length of your lips – that’s a hard issue to truly address directly as well. However, what I would consider is Botox for masseter (jaw muscle). This makes the muscle smaller and slims the lower face. This would mak…

See an oculoplastic surgeon
Jan 31, 2019
Hi there. You need an in person evaluation. Based upon the photos presented, it’s hard to tell if you have ptosis with some compensatory brow elevation. If that is the case, addressing the ptosis with surgery will help the brow settle. Thereafter, evaluation can be performed to see if adding filler to the subbrow area may help you achieve your desired look. If there is no ptosis, then I would consider filler to subbrow area as a first measure. I would address these two…
What is the best treatment to lower the higher side?
See an oculoplastic surgeon
Jan 31, 2019
Hi there. It appears that you are carrying your left brow higher. This may be due to brow asymmetry but could also be secondary to eyelid asymmetry. I think you need a detailed oculoplastic examination to determine if you have ptosis (drooping) of the left upper eyelid that is causing a compensatory elevation of the brow. This will help determine what treatment options you have and whether any additional testing is indicated. Hope that helps.
Do I bother trying Botox after 60 units of Dysport on 1’s never worked?
Consider another injector and Botox or Xeomin before giving up on neurotoxin
Jan 31, 2019
Hi there. There are variables such as how neurotoxin medicines are prepared and stored prior to and sometimes after preparation. It may be worthwhile seeing a different injector to see if it makes a difference. Share your experience with Dysport as consideration can be given to trying Botox or Xeomin. Good luck.
What can I do about lump/line after tear trough filler?
If you are unhappy, consider reversal with hyaluronidase
Jan 31, 2019
It’s hard to appreciate the areas of concern in these photos. An in perso exam is needed. However, if you are unhappy for any reason, that’s all that really matters. So if you don’t like how it looks at this point, the filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. See your injector for this if needed.

See your injector
Jan 30, 2019
Hi there. Based upon this photo it’s possible injection was too superficial and there may also be overfill. An in person examination is needed. If you are unhappy with results and it’s been a few weeks, you could consider reversal with hyaluronidase – see your injector. I wouldn’t give up on fillers necessarily. You may be a good candidate – can be re evaluated when you are back to baseline by a skilled injector.
