Did the Botox cause drooping between my eyes???
Explanation to your issue
Mar 22, 2017
What you have to understand is Botox relaxes the muscles in your face and those muscles are responsible for various facial expressions. From the picture, it looks to me that you need a touchup over your R brow to make it even with your other brow, however, even in your before picture your R brow lifts slightly higher than your left. However, a small touchup will even things out for you. You have the Jack Nicholson look because you need more Botox in the upper forehead. Call you physician and…
Line between forehead still there 5 days post treatment with full muscle movement.
Need to be more patient
Mar 21, 2017
Is this your first Botox treatment for this area? If so, relax…you need to give it more time. Sometimes Botox can take as long as 10-14 days to exhibit its full affect on relaxing your facial muscles. I tell all of my patients 3-7 days before they notice a change. It is possible after 14 days you will still have movement, at which time you will need to have a touch-up to your treatment. The efficacy of the treatment depends on the skill of the injector and if they correct amount of…
I am looking to get my first Botox injections at 52 years old and I am concerned about having a react
Reactions are very uncommon
Oct 27, 2016
Your question is a great question. Let’s talk some basics. Botox amount is usually not discussed in ml rather in units. A typical treatment of 40 units would be (depending on how the physician reconstitutes the Botox) a little less than 1 ml.
I have been injecting Botox for just over ten years and have never had a patient have a reaction to it. That being said, the amount of Botox used for a typical treatment would not put you at risk for a reaction any more than a sub-optimal amount….
Does Botox stop working?
Botox can lose effectiveness
Oct 27, 2016
Sorry to hear your last few treatments didn’t seem to work. 60 units is a lot of Botox for the forehead area and it is surprising it would not work. My first thought is did you truly get that many units. Also, sometimes after successful treatments, in some patients, Botox (or any neurotoxin) can lose it’s effectiveness, but that is rare. If it didn’t take at all, it seems either there was something wrong with the Botox itself (perhaps it was not reconstituted properly) or the…
