Hopefully you discussed the desired results with your surgeon before surgery. There is always swelling for days post op so my advice is follow the post op care instructions and wait a week to see how you are healing.

You are the perfect candidate for laser vaginal rejuvenation. The CO2 light will cause micro injury to the vaginal mucosa (lining) which will then stimulate the vaginal wall to get thicker, moister and more elastic again. My patients have all felt less itching, more moisture and less pain post treatments. I would definitely give this a try.

Melissa,It is always unpleasant to have a complication and certainly hematomas are very painful. Now that it has been drained it will take time for the remaining blood clot and swelling to reabsorb. I have found that oral Arnika Forte helps quicken the process. You may want to use warm compresses now that it is past the first 48 hours. Tears during childbirth are very common and sometimes certain suture material can dissolve too quickly resulting in separation of the wound. In my experience a gynecologist who performs vaginal surgery hould be able to correct the problem. I would ask your OB/Gyn to repair the defect or refer you to another doctor who can. The Monalisa Touch is FDA aproved for the treatment of vaginal atrophic changes like dryness, decreased elasticity and painful intercourse. I have also seen patient improvement with mild stress urinary incontinence as well as reduction in urinary frequency. This CO2 laser helps revitalize the vaginal tissue. IT does not cause tightening.
