Statement: Dr. Gene Lee is a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine physician from New York City. He graduated from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, completed residency at Morristown, New Jersey, and moved to San Diego in 2008. With over 15 years of experience as an Emergency Room Physician and working in the ambulatory care clinic, Dr. Lee has provided excellent, life-saving care with kind, professional courtesy while valuing patient satisfaction.

After dealing with acne and scarring in his 20s and 30s, he noticed more skin spots and fine lines in his 40s. He loves learning about skin health and maintenance, especially proactive and preventative skin care. Dr. Lee finds it rewarding to apply his emergency medicine training to the aesthetics field, expanding his medical knowledge base and exploring advances in biomedical technology. He enjoys direct patient care along with hands-on procedures, which can provide immediate results and patient satisfaction.

Honestly, we all age, and fortunately, there are minimally invasive, non-surgical treatments and preventative interventions to maintain healthy skin.

Presently, Dr. Lee employs a complementary combination of treatments: botulinum injectables, such as Botox® and Xeomin®, along with microneedling and Radiesse injections, to help clients target wrinkles and help with facial contouring and skin tightening. He is particularly excited to add on the Emsculpt Neo treatment for body tightening.

Emsculpt (6×10 minute sessions). Would this be effective for a bit of fat on my abdomen?
Emsculpt / Emsculpt Neo 10 minute treatment
Mar 26, 2022
The Emsculpt Classic is HIFEM energy without RF heat and typically is 30 minutes every 2-5 days. I would expect you would see some results but I am unaware of the 10 minute x 6 protocol. The machine goes through different contraction patterns during the 30 minute treatment.
The Emsculpt Neo incorporates RF heat and takes 8 minutes to attain optimal temperature to 107-108F to cause lipolysis. The sustained heat for the 30 minute session is the reason for the incredible results.
Botox and Fillers for Facial Slimming – will this work to improve my face shape?
Masseter Slimming with Botox
Mar 26, 2022
Botox and other neuromodulators (like Xeomin, Dysport and Jeuveau) can be used for slimming of the masseter muscles. The treatment typically entails 3-4 injections on each side, with 12-20 units per side, then reassessment in 2-3 weeks; more can be added if desired.
You can palpate your face and feel the masseter muscles on the outer lower jaw when you clench your jaw.
I am not sure how it would affect your jawline specifcally, but you are correct, filler can be used to further delineate…
