Subcision on temples and forehead? Could they hit a nerve?
Nerves in the temple region
May 2, 2018
The temporal branch of the facial nerve crosses in this region but as long as the physician remains superficial, there will be no issues at all.  Best of luck
What is the best treatment for my acne scars?
Acne scars – Combination of treatments
May 2, 2018
I would recommend a combination of subcision, rf microneedling, and prp.  I cannot make out if there are ice pick scars, but if they are present, TCA CROSS will also be useful.  Your scars appear bound down so the subcision will be of great benefit.  You will multiple treatments 6-8 weeks apart.  I think fillers at the end of your treatment series may still be necessary to reflate your cheeks but there is room for a lot of improvement.  Best of luck
Is there anything that I can do for my cystic acne scar? Scar feels soft and a little depressed
Subtle acne scars
Apr 28, 2018
It’s difficult to make out the scars with these pics. Given how subtle they may actually be, you may consider filler preceded by subcision with the same needle used to place the filler. That may be all that is needed. An in-person consult will really help determine the nature of these scars. Best of luck
Should I do the TCA Cross or Infini?
Subcision and Infini
Apr 15, 2018
Don’t separate these two if you can. They work synergistically and will give you the highest yield. If you have to choose one, I would go with subcision as these scars need to be freed from the underlying skin for any appreciable result. Best of luck
Lump after punch excision, advice? 3 weeks p.o.
Early hypertrophic scar
Apr 15, 2018
Too early in the life of the scar.scars can continue to remodel over the course of 1 yr. Three weeks is still the very early beginning. I agree with massaging at this point. Scar Away is a silicone based topical I recommend for scars. Vascular lasers can get the red out. Intralesional steroids and resurfacing lasers can flatten the scar. My advice would be to massage and use a silicone based topical though. It’s early enough and that’s all you may need. Best of luck
I have acne scars and a hole in my face, what is the best treatment to resolve these issues? (P
Early acne scars
Apr 15, 2018
The active acne should be your first priority.  Many great topicals, and systemics for that. However, I would recommend starting some type of intervention for the scarring as soon as you can to minimize the atrophy that appears to be taking place.  I believe nonablative fractionated lasers (Fraxel, ResurFx) have a place at this stage.  In your skin type, the settings would have to be conservative to minimize hyperpigmentation.  Topical lightening agents and sunscreens is very important and m…
What are my best treatment options for my acne scarring?
Acne scars
Apr 15, 2018
Unfortunately, it’s very difficult to make out the scar types you have. In a general sense:Lasers, rf microneedling, subcision, and fillers are the major players. How they are used and in what combination with or without prp all depends on the combination of scars you have, allowed downtime for healing and your expectations from these treatments. Very general answer but hopefully it gives you an idea. An in person consult will help clarify these options.  Best of luck to you
Will one or two sessions of Infini weeks before a aggressive subcision still be effective?
Acne scars
Apr 7, 2018
Why not combine these treatments?  I’m sure there was a reason but combining them will save visits and likely be more effective given their synergistic effects.  It’s hard to give a full assessment without knowing more details though.  Best of luck
What is wrong with my skin?
Multi-approach for acne scars
Apr 7, 2018
I can’t make out what the raised lesions are.  My best guess is hypertrophic scars vs comedones vs dermatosis papulosa nigra.  These would have to be evaluated in person for a diagnosis.  Raised lesions aside, you have a combination of ice pick scars, small boxcar scars and tethered rolling scars.  I would recommend a combination of TCA CROSS, subcision, RF microneedling with PRP all in the same session.  You will need a series of these treatments spaced 6-8 weeks apart.  That would give…
How do I get rid of these spots and scars left behind and get my normal skin tone back? (Photos
Active acne
Apr 7, 2018
Your primary goal should be to get your active acne under control.  Everything else depends on the acne resolving.  A medical dermatologist can be of great benefit to you.  Best of luck
What is the best filler for acne scars? If I tighten my skin, it makes them disappear. I believ
Atrophic scars and fillers
Apr 7, 2018
There are many great fillers that can be used.  All HA fillers are used off label but can produce great sustained results.  The Juvederm line has worked well in my hands.  Bellafill (PMMA microspheres in collagen) is the only FDA approved filler for treatment of acne scars.  I’ve used both HA and non-HA fillers with good results.  A second visit and treatment session may be needed in certain scar types.  Best of luck
When flying out of town for vein treatments, how long should we wait before flying home?
Flying after sclerotherapy
Apr 4, 2018
I recommend two weeks.  With that said, plenty of patients have flown out at the 1 weeks mark.  I am usually ok with this but like them to ambulate frequently while on the plane to be sure to wear their compression stockings.  Best of luck.
Is miraDry available and safe for buttocks/crack (between)?
MiraDry only for axillae
Apr 4, 2018
MiraDry is recommended for the axillae only.  To my knowledge, it has not been used for the buttock region.  Best of luck
I want to get rid of my acne and acne scar redness, I have oily skin.
Post-inflammatory erythema and hyperpigmentation
Apr 4, 2018
Ask your dermatologist to get you on Accutane.  This will clear your acne which will help the discoloration resolve.  Hydroquinone and qs lasers for the hyperpigmentation and vascular lasers for the red.  Best of luck
Acne scars, tried Fraxel with improvement, but icepick and boxcar scarring still prevalent. Adv
TCA CROSS
Apr 4, 2018
Hard to fully assess your scars from the pictures but TCA CROSS may be of benefit to you here.  It may require multiple treatments (3-6) but may help.  Best of luck
