Tylenol/ibuprofen and PRP
Oct 2, 2018
Susansl, That is a very good question. Tylenol is OK before procedures. Ibuprofen should not be taken for up 5 day before treatment. Aspirin and other NSAID, like ibuprofen, can cause platelets to not function properly. Healthy platelets are needed for good PRP results.. Thanks and best wishes.. Dr. John.
Should I excise this old chicken pox scar?

Hanroth, Thank you for the question.. If after fillers and laser treatment I would recommend that the scar is beyond surface treatment. A good plastic surgeon can correct this easily and then laser and IPL treatment can reduce the surface scar left. Good Luck to you and thanks for the question.. Dr. John

D.h.alucard, Thank you for the question... Without seeing the bumps in person they look more like a folliculitis or infection of the hair follicule. I have seen this commonly with some people after haircuts, shaving and depilation. A good mild antibacterial cleanser should help. Thanks for the question. Good luck... Dr. John

Aug 21, 2018
Akht, Thank you for the question. The answer is dependent on your state or region and the scope of described by practice board. Most nurses can, if under the supervision, can preform these. I hope that helps... Thank you.... Dr. John
PRR PLASMA treatment I am considering the PRP but i have 4 questions.

Happy0310, Wow, what a very good set of questions. A lot of my clients ask these as well. First; The total amount of blood needed with the Dr. PRP kit is 20 ml or about 4 teaspoons. Not a lot really. Second; generally the PRP is not injected unless to be used with a filler but used directly on the skin either before micro-needling or after nano-fractional treatment after Venus Viva. Third; this can take as many as 4 treatments on the average to achieve the results you want. It may...

Stackz038. Thanks for the great question. The photos do not do your skin justice. I recommend that you follow-up with a good plastic surgeon for a face to face inspection of the scar for possible scar revision. Thanks for the question!
Forehead bumps won't go away! Tried laser genesis, SA, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acid, 2% ketoconazole.

Floraskin, Thank you for your interesting question. The photos are not a good substitute for an in person consult with a dermatologist would be beneficial in establishing a diagnosis for you. Any of the treatments should have given you some improvement. Thank you for this great question. Please follow-up with a dermatologist. Thank you!

Dear davidkwon, Thanks for the question. From the photos and your history these resemble a foreign body granuloma. That is a reaction to a foreign body that embedded into your skin. I would recommend that you follow-up with a dermatologist for more extensive treatment. Thank you for your interesting question. Have a great day! Hope this helps.
Xeomin, Botox and Juvederm don't last on me. Why is that?

Jul 27, 2018
Iniquez2000,
That is a good question that is asked all the time. People have different types of metabolism and are able to remove Juvederm and Botox quickly. Also a German paper from 2013 suggested that about one in 200 people will form antibiodies to the Botox. You maybe one of those individuals. Please speak with your physician regarding this. Thanks for the interesting question. Have a great day. Dr. John M. Clair.
