Thank you for your great question. It is best to get approval from your surgeon before having additional procedures to follow their timing guidelines. In general, lip injections are possible after surgery and will not interfere with healing. It is best to inform the provider of recent surgery as well. Most patients have lip swelling and possible bruising.

Thank you for your great question. It is possible to have reactions that can resemble allergic reactions, but can be infectious or inflammatory in nature instead. In our practice with situations like these, we will cleanse a small area in the forearm, inject a small amount of a different dermal filler, and observe for any reaction. If no reaction, we proceed with injections. Our offices have the necessary protocols, medication, and supplies present in the event of allergic reaction.

Thank you for your great question. Certain neuromuscular diseases, such as Myasthenia Gravis, for example, prohibit patients from receiving Botox treatments. It is recommended to speak with your physicians prior to starting any treatments such as Botox and subsequently after clearance be physically examined by the Botox provider to ensure you are a candidate. In general, Crohn’s and Glaucoma patients can usually receive Botox.

Kybella can be done after a chin implant, but I would let all of the swelling go down prior to injection.  It is helpful for the surgeon that is injecting the Kybella to know what he is injecting, as swelling can appear as fullness and fat. so, speak with your surgeon, but allow your body some time to heal prior to injection.
