Answer Snippet
Is it easier to perform filler on a patient sitting up or laying down? (Lip filler, cheek and jawline
Positioning of patient
Apr 13, 2020
Thanks for the question. It depends on the comfort of the injector. Its best to assess sitting up and then inject while comfortable. The patient can be sat back up to reassess.
Interested in ThermiVa, can you opt for only the internal treatment and not the external? Can you only
Customized treatment for Thermiva
Oct 31, 2019
Hi, thanks for your question. Yes you can have either internal, external or both depending on your condition to treat. If one treatment will provide you the relief you have then that would suffice. And it should not make the vagina too tight.
Pastel colored tattoo removal. What are the chances of having it removed completely?
Tattoo removal
Jul 15, 2019
Thanks for you question. Most colors can be "removed" or reduced with pico lasers. Yellow is one of the most resistant but can be lightened. The other colors should be lessened with multiple treatments.
Is it possible for the nose to grow as a side effect of fillers and laser treatments?
Is nose growing?
Jul 15, 2019
Thanks for your question. Treatments can't make the areas "grow" but the appearance can change with fillers. It may appear larger but if you stop treatments, they would go back to a "normal look".
Does Renuvion just tightens skin and/or actually removes excess skin long term?
Renuvion for tightening
Jul 15, 2019
Thank you for your question. Renuvion will tighten the soft tissues under the skin about 30%. It doesn't remove the skin. Over time some more contraction can occur. Currently I use this either with or without liposuction and I am seeing fantastic results!
5th microneedling treatment Is this like starting a new series or is my skin going to keep accumulatin
Microneedling series
Jun 12, 2019
Thanks for your question. As with any skin treatment, continued maintenance is needed to help with skin texture. Your skin will continue to improve.
Is it safe to get a filler injected into sunken mole scar after rhinoplasty?
Filler in a scar
Jun 12, 2019
Thanks for your question. Filler can be very useful in a scar such as this. However, micro needling with RF may also be of benefit as well. Good luck!
Is it safe to have microneedling done under the eye, up to the lash line and outer corners?
Microneedling for under eye
Jun 12, 2019
Thanks for your question. If done properly, it is a safe procedure. Depending on the scar, it may work or you may need a more aggressive procedure. See an expert like Dr. Emer recommended.
I lost weight In my face and I don’t know what I need done. Suggestions?
Lost weight in face
Jun 7, 2019
Thanks for your question. Weight loss can occur in the face and at 21 using dermal fillers would be an excellent choice to build back the structure of your cheeks. See an experienced injector and get a formal consult. Best of luck!
Is this bump normal during the healing process and will it go away? Will I need to have it dissolved?
Bump after lip filler
Jun 7, 2019
Thanks for your question. The bruising can happen after a Lip injection. When the swelling and bruising goes away, reassess with your injector and see if the lump is gone. It may need to be dissolved if not.
Would I be a good candidate for J-Plasma?
J plasma for lower abs
May 12, 2019
Thanks for your question. J-plasma or Renuvion, as its known now, offers tightening that has not been possible without a tummy tuck. However, there are some cases that would benefit from a traditional abdominoplasty. Seek out a surgeon that does both and get an in person evaluation to see what is right for you.
J-Plasma for upper arms. How long is numbness feeling?
Numbness of arms
May 12, 2019
Thanks for your question. Any subnormal procedure can cause temporary numbness. Usually it lasts 2-3 months but can last longer. In some cases, it could be permanent but not likely.
piqo4 laser tattoo removal on Hispanic skin - Am I experiencing hypopigmentation?
Hypopigmentation
Apr 18, 2019
Thanks for your question. The darker skin types run the risk of hypo pigmentation with any lasers. The pico laser has less chance of hypopigmentation but it can happen. So my advice would be to determine what would you be happier with, the tattoo or the risk of lightened skin? Then approach it based on that assessment. Good luck.
11 weeks into PRP. I still notice a lot of hair fall. Is this normal and when will this stop? When wil
PRP and shedding hair
Apr 18, 2019
Thanks for you question. PRP will see effects on hair growth usually by the 3 or 4th treatment. The hair cycle is about 3 months so until new hair is growing, you may not see any change. If it continues after 4 months, there may be other conditions causing the hair loss. You may need a metabolic workup. Good luck.
My tattoo has some white, blue, purple, and black ink. Which laser is best to remove these colors? Is
White ink tattoo removal
Apr 18, 2019
Thanks for your question. White ink is very difficult to remove. Even for the pico lasers. You can try a test spot to see what will happen to the white portion. Good luck.
