Your acne scars may benefit from a procedure called TCA CROSS. It requires multiple sessions and helps build collagen directly beneath the scar. I would also consider using a laser such as the Fraxel laser or CO2 laser to hep blend the scar into the surrounding skin. These lasers build collagen faster than the microneedling procedures. For best results, your scars would likely need a combination approach. Filler and subcision to elevate the depressed scars. I like Bellafill in particular, which is FDA approved for treating acne scars. I would then treat with the CO2 ablative laser for 1 or 2 sessions to help blend the scars into the surrounding normal skin. This laser requires about a 1 week downtime. It’s a more intense version of the Fraxel that builds more collagen per treatment than the Fraxel laser. I recommend…

You would do beautifully with a little Botox to help relax that band. It would need maintenance treatments every 3-4 months to keep the band softened and the neck smooth. Good luck!

Filler when placed too superficially especially under the eyes can create what’s called the Tyndall effect. Basically, the light scattering within the gel can create a blue-ish hue which can look like a bruise. I recommend you go back to your original injector and ask to have some of it dissolved. Volume loss happens slowly over time and due to one’s genetics. Based on your photos, I would treat you with injectable fillers to help fill the volume loss in the area that you circled (tear troughs). Because this is a delicate area with potential risks, I recommend you schedule a consultation with a board-certified dermatologist to address this concern. Good question! In my practice, I find needles work better for treating acne scars. I first use the needle tip to break up scar tissue that’s tethered to the underlying skin (a procedure called subcision). Once a small pocket is created, I inject filler to help pop up the acne scar so that it is flush with the normal, surrounding skin. Hope that helps!

Yes, injecting a filler such as Juvederm Ultra Plus or Restylane Lyft to the prejowl hollowing you’re describing would look really nice. You might also consider adding a neuromodulator such as Botox or Dysport to your chin muscle (mentalis) to help soften the fine dimpling of this muscle. Be sure to consult with your physician regarding which treatment is right for you.
Can you get facial filler and get laser hair removal on the face?

Great question! Voluma is typically injected deep under the skin to give a lifting effect. The energy from laser hair removal devices does not reach the depth where the filler would be placed. You should ask the physician who will be injecting the filler as well as the one performing the laser hair removal for their recommendations. I generally recommend spacing the two treatments about 1-2 weeks apart from each other. Hope this helps!
