Lip filler
May 13, 2019
It often takes up to two weeks for filler swelling to settle down. I would give it more time but also please be in touch with the doctor that did your injections. They may decide to give you some predisone to decrease the swelling more quickly.Dr. Quenby Erickson, FAAD
11 days after Vollure in upper lip. Does it need to be massaged or dissolved?
Vollure lumps
May 13, 2019
The lumps that you are pointing out in the photo seem quite small and superficial. I would recoomend returning to the doctor and inquiring about options to remove the lumps. They can sometimes be expressed by pricking them with a needle and pressing the gel out. Alternatively, It is also possible to use just a tiny amount of Hylanex to dissolve them. I don't think it is likely that they will resolve on their own at this point.Dr. Quenby Erickson, FAAD
Is it too soon to receive another Botox treatment after 6 weeks?
Timing repeat Botox
May 13, 2019
It is not too soon to repeat Botox if you have movement already. Typically it should take 3-4 months for the movement to return so if all of your movement has returned in 6 weeks, it suggests to me that you needed more in the first place. 36 units for the crows and glabella is not a very high dose.  I hope this helps!Dr. Quenby Erickson, FAAD
Can the PPP go away without any treatment?
PPP Removal
Jan 24, 2019
PPP is a normal and non-threatening condition, and the best way to treat it is using resurfacing lasers. The treatment is quick and painless, and results can be seen in about a week after treatment.

juvederm nodules
Jan 11, 2019
It is possible that nodules from fillers can be hard as bone. I would recommend that you see the doctor who performed the injections to be evaluated.Dr. Quenby Erickson, DO, FAAD, FACMS
Does CoolSculpting work on muffin top after tummy tuck?
coolsculpting for the muffin top
Jan 11, 2019
Coolsclupting is regularly used to treat the muffin top. It is important that you have an evaluation by a physician who is an expert with coolsculpting to know for sure if you are a good candidate for coolsculpting. There is no contraindication to coolsculpt after a tummy tuck as long as you are well healed.Dr. Quenby Erickson, DO, FAAD, FACMS
Bulging muscles underneath my bottom lip, can Botox fix this?
bulging muscles
Jan 11, 2019
From the photos, it looks as though you have a combination of very strong DAO muscles (Depressor Labii Oris) and some volume loss below. You will probably need a combination treatment and it is difficult to say exactly which treatments would be best without an in-person evaluation.  Botox and fillers may be recommended.Sincerely,Dr. Quenby Erickson, DO, FAAD, FACMS

Halo and advil
Jan 11, 2019
You may take advil for pain post Halo. If your swelling is severe, I would call your doctor, because Prednisone can dramatically reduce the swelling. I hope you feel better!Dr. Quenby Erickson, DO, FAAD, FACMS
Can you have fillers done within the same week as Ultherapy?
Ultherapy and fillers
Jan 11, 2019
It is not a problem for fillers and Ultherapy to be done at the same time. I often recommend that people have Sculptra at the same time as Ultherapy. If you are having fillers in the same area as ultherapy, the ultherapy would be don first and then the fillers.Dr. Quenby Erickson, DO, FAAD, FACMS
Best options for my tired face? Any advice/help would be amazing.
Pre-wedding rejuvenation
Jan 11, 2019
Firstly, CONGRATULATIONS on your up coming wedding! 6 months out is enough time to get ready, but it is important that you have a really good plan and get started soon so that you are not down to the wire. Most procedures take some time to see the best results and getting procedures done within a month of the wedding is not advisable due to possible bruising and so that there is time to recover without undue stress before the wedding.  Of course an in-person consultation is always best, but ...

Dimples after a threadlift
Jan 11, 2019
Thank you for the photo with your question. It is very common to have some dimples after the procedure and often they are associated with significant lifting. They are temporary, but can take upwards of a month to settle down. Massage can be helpful, but I typically do not instruct patients to do that, as I would prefer to let it settle with time and not interfere with the lifting result, however, the doctor who performed the lift, should be willing to see you in person and put your mind at ...

Hemifacial atrophy AKA Parry-Romberg Syndrome
Nov 2, 2018
Thank you for posting this photo with you question. Your presentation is not as straight forward as it might seem. You should have a complete work up with a Dermatologist to assess why you have developed the hemi-facial atrophy. There may be a diagnosis that could allow your insurance company to consider this more than cosmetic and in that case, they may cover your treatments.I hope this helps and I wish you very well.Quenby Erickson, DO, FAAD

sculptra vs vampire facelift
Nov 2, 2018
This is a great question, but without photos or an in person consultation, it is very difficult to direct you specifically on how many vials and sessions you would need with sculptra vs the vampire. I do love both of these treatments. Sculptra is better at revolumizing the temples and cheeks and the vampire is really great at the under eye area as well as rejuvenating the skin quality where it is injected. I hope this is helpful!
Am I a candidate for butt sculptra?
Sculptra butt lift
Nov 2, 2018
Sculptra can be a great treatment for augmenting the butt. It can look very natural and smooth out some of the irregularities that you have. It may also be your best option as you do not look like a fat transfer candidate. Make sure you see someone who does a lot of sculptra butt augmentation to ensure that you are getting the best treatment.Dr. Quenby Erickson, DO. FAAD
Can Sculptra treatments be permanent? Very worried about my cheeks.
Nov 2, 2018
Thank you for your question. Photos would be very helpful, however, I do not think that you need to be concerned that the results will be permanent. If you are feeling a little too "cheeky", just lay off the sculptra for a while and eventually it will start to dissipate. Also, make sure that you are seeing a board certified dermatologist that specializes in facial injections and particularly sculptra, in the future because placement of the filler really matters..especially because sculptra...
