Prior to any type of injection whether it be botox or a filler, it is best to stay away from medications that thin the blood. A small list of these blood thinners include Aspirin, Midol, Excedrin, Motrin, Advil etc. Discontinue taking these medications a week prior to your injectable appointment. First and for most, your facial structure is delightful! However, I do understand wanting to have a slimmer look to the face. My best recommendation is a buccal fat pad reduction. Options for Cheek enhancement are Cheek Implants. Have you considered them? Otherwise for immediate results with no surgical downtime would be with Fillers. These days there are so many types from temporary lasting from 6 months up to 2 years, and also there is also the permanent Fillers.
I always recommend you research the product very well as well as your Dr.
Make sure he/she is a well reputable Board Certified Dr.

Your question is common. Botox does not work immediately. It may take 7-10 days before you begin to see results. Sometimes a touch up is needed. My advise; you may want to return to your Practitioner for a follow up.

Treating surgery scars especially a Tummy-Tuck; I recommend an FDA-Approved topical Silicone scar treatment Cream/Gel. It has to be advanced treatment to minimize the appearance of the scar. The cream or gel needs to form an invisible silicone barrier over the scar allowing for breathable, flexible, and water resistant to protect the tissues against chemical, microbial and physical invasion of the scar.

I prefer Restylane Silk, it is the first FDA-approved product specifically designed for lip augmentation and the smoothing of wrinkles around the mouth in patients 21 years of age and older. If you like the results and would like more volume or effect, you can try Restylane next time.

Kybella is FDA approved, to burst the fat cells underneath the chin. Though results vary from patient to patient, we definitely see results after two to three treatments as the fat begins to melt away in the double-chin. The results of this injection should last for years to come and is a long term solution to under the chin fat.

Every patient is unique, depending on what you are trying to achieve; your doctor should be able to guide you with the recommended amount of syringes. Most patients start with 1 syringe for each side. If you split 1 syringe for each side, your results may be very subtle and you may not see a change.
Sometimes a second opinion may be a good idea, also see the doctor's before and afters.
