Sunken temples after cheek filler, how can I fix my overall look?
Sunken Temples After Cheek Fillers
Jan 27, 2021
Hello from Washington, D.C. and thank you for your question! You can actually get filler for sunken temples. It’s actually a great treatment after cheek fillers to blend the contours in in that area and help improve the overall appearance and outline of the face. Hope this helps!
All the best,Dr. Bobby
I want chin fillers. How many syringes would I need and which filler is best for me?
How many syringes for chin filler and what type?
Jan 27, 2021
Hello from Washington, D.C. and thank you for your questions! You would want to use a “thicker” filler such as Juvederm Voluma, Restylane Lyft or Radiesse. It will create enough structure to correct your receding chin and form a more proportionate chin size for you. I would recommend looking at getting 1-2 syringes of filler. You can reassess after each syringe. Hope this helps!

Can my wrinkle crease between eyes be improved with Botox?
Crease Between Eyes and Botox
Jan 27, 2021
Greetings from Washington, DC and thank you for your question! Botox can help with the crease you are referring to. It is created by a muscle called the procerus so when it contracts, it creates that wrinkle that you see. When you paralyze procerus, it will relax the muscle and soften that wrinkle. The concern for eyebrow drooping comes from injecting the frontalis muscle that covers your forehead in order to reduce the horizontal lines that can be found there upon aging. If a patient’s…
What filler or procedure would help my under eye circles?
Under Eye Circles
Jan 27, 2021
Greetings for Arlington, Virginia and thank you for your question! Just by looking at your photo, it looks like the dark circles are caused by melanin. I would recommend talking to a physician or dermatologist about getting a prescription for Tri-Luma. It’s a cream that contains fluocinolone, hydroquinone and tretinoin, all of which help with hyperpigmentation. As far as using fillers for the area, it can help with dark circles, but in your case it’s most likely the melanin that’s causing…
Would I be a good candidate for Kybella?
Kybella and Other Treatments
Jan 27, 2021
Greetings from Washington, D.C. and thank you for your questions! Just by looking at your photos, it’s hard to tell whether it’s skin or fat. The main way to assess the area is to have a physical assessment done at an office where they usually treat patents with submental fat. If there is a significant amount of fat, then of course Kybella would help. Allergan recommends 3-6 treatments around one month apart to see proper results, but you can of course do less than 3 if you’ve reached your…

Hollow under eyes and dark circles
Jan 27, 2021
Hello from Washington, D.C. and thank you for your question! For hollowness of the under eyes, there a a few options. The option with the quickest results would be to get dermal fillers to fill in the hollowness. Other options that can be used in the area would be microneedling to increase collagen formation, or injections of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in the area. PRP is used for its growth factors to again increase collagen formation in the area. You can also do microneedling with PRP, and…
I am taking an MAOI and am interested in getting filler to my temples. Advice?
Fillers, MAOIs and Lidocaine with Epinephrine
Jan 26, 2021
Greetings from Washington, D.C. and thank you for your question! Fillers usually just have lidocaine in them. When you go to the dentist, for example, the injection you’re getting may have lidocaine AND epinephrine in it. The reason being is that epinephrine causes vasoconstriction in the area, allowing for lidocaine to stay longer where it’s been injected and increasing its duration of action. It also decreases the risk of lidocaine toxicity which happens when there’s too much lidocaine…
Is .55 ml lip filler sufficient for me?
0.55 mL of Lip Filler
Jan 26, 2021
Hello from Washington, D.C. and thank you for your question! The answer is that it depends on the size your lips before the treatment. Just by looking at your lips in the photos, I would say that 0.55 mL would make a difference but it won’t be a huge difference, especially if you’re just trying to add volume. It would make more of a difference if you wanted to add shape to it, i.e. creating a more defined Cupid’s bow. I’m assuming you’re referring to the 0.55 mL syringe of Juvederm Volbella?…
Would jawline filler/chin filler help me with my side profile and weak jawline?
Jawline and chin filler for side profile
Jan 26, 2021
Hello from Washington, D.C. and thank you for your question! You can absolutely use filler to improve your side profile by adding filler at what we call the angle of the mandible, or the jaw angle. There’s even measurements in aesthetics for the jaw angle which some people consider ideal for men and women, with a narrower angle of 100 degrees for men and an angle between 120 to 130 degrees for women. As for chin filler, I would recommend doing chin filler as well. Looking at your photo, if…
Are these lines just smile lines and could they be improved with Botox?
Smile lines?
Jan 26, 2021
Hello from Washington, D.C. and thank you for your question! They are in fact smile lines. Botox paralyses muscles temporarily to cause an affect. Unfortunately, there’s no muscle that you can paralyze to treat smile lines. For those, you would use dermal fillers to soften those lines. Juvederm Vollure is an example of a dermal filler that I like to use to treat smile lines. There are other ones as well that your provider can use to treat them. Hope this helps!
How should I fix my downward lip shape?
Downward Lip Shape
Jan 26, 2021
Hello from Washington, D.C. and thank you for your question! I believe what you are referring to are the downturned corners of your mouth? It may be challenging to correct cause of your facial skeletal structure, but you can try getting Botox injections for the depressor angle oris (DAO) muscles that pull down on the corners of your mouth. This may help elevate the corners of your mouth and help make you look less grumpy at rest. You can also have dermal fillers placed below the corners of…
How Much Does Ultrashape Cost?
Ultrashape Power Cost
Jan 3, 2019
Thank you for your question! At our office in Washington, DC, we use the newest Ultrashape machine called Ultrashape Power, and we charge $1,250 per session for a medium area, and $3,500 for a package of 3. Pricing of course varies by practice/location and the size of the area. I highly recommend doing at least 3 treatments spaced 2 weeks apart for proper results as the studies used for FDA approval were based off of this protocol….
It’s been 4 months since my FUE surgery. It still looks really bad. Is this normal?
At the 4 Month Mark
Dec 25, 2018
Thank you for your question! Your transplanted hair is as expected at 4 months. I would wait at least 8 to 10 months before judging the results. Best! -Dr. Bobby
Is it normal to have dizziness and nausea 3 months still after Botox?
Dizziness and nausea 3 months after Botox?
Dec 14, 2018
Thank you for your question! Botox does not cause dizziness and nausea. You may get lightheaded or pass out if you have a fear of needles and are about to get injected, but that usually resolves right after and is not caused by Botox itself. I recommend going to a neurologist at a tertiary center if you haven’t done so for further evaluation. Hope you feel better.
Transgender hair restoration, other options after FUT/FUE?
Options after FUT/FUE
Dec 5, 2018
Thank you for your question! You may be a great candidate for a second hair transplantation depending on whether you have enough terminal hair follicles at the donor site (back of head). You should see your final results from your first procedure after 8-10 months. Afterwards, I recommend speaking with a hair specialist about a second procedure. I’ve also seen great results with PRP and hair transplantation combined as PRP has growth factors in it that h…
