How many treatments of Emsculpt for abdomen? How long between treatments?
How many treatment are needed for Emsculpt to the abdomen
Jun 21, 2018
Four Emsculpt treatments in about 2 weeks and at least 2 days apart is recommended for the abdomen. Then maintenance treatments about every 2-3 months although going longer or shorter (because some people love it so much!) is ok. More studies are being done for the best timing on maintenance treatments.
Emsculpt for arms and shoulders (off label)?
Can Emsculpt treat the arms and shoulders?
Jun 21, 2018
Great question! Arms are a common request! And, yes, the company is working on better applicators for different sized areas. Unfortunately, you cannot use the device over the chest or upper back. We are using the current applicator to do upper legs but only more experienced MDs with Emsculpt will be willing to try off label areas.
Is the Emsculpt procedure known by a different name? I've tried Googling "Emsculpt" and only see rea
Learn more about Emsculpt
Jun 21, 2018
Emsculpt is a non-invasive procedure that efficiently builds muscle and burns fat in both men and women. Current body contouring procedures address fat and skin, whereas Emsculpt builds muscle and burns fat for improvement in the tone and shape of the abdomen or buttocks.
Emsculpt uses High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM®) technology to induce approximately 20,000 forced muscle contractions per session. These forced contractions, considered supramaximal contractions are not ...

Can Botox be used to increase upper lip show?
Jun 12, 2017
I published an article that
demonstrated increased lip show with the use of botox – it works really well!
There is no problem doing both Botox and fillers together into the lips and, in
fact, we do it routinely as the reduced movement with the botox allows the
filler to last longer as it is not under as much pressure with puckering.
I have a large tattoo on my scalp. Will I lose my hair if I remove it with laser?
Laser tattoo removal on scalp. Will it cause hair loss?
Jun 12, 2017
You may lose some hair but the
hair removal lasers use a much longer pulse width so that they can better
destroy the hair follicle. The ultrashort pulse widths used to shatter the ink
and allow the tattoo to be removed are too short to permanently remove most
hairs but they can stun hair growth for several months .
Can you use botox to relax overactive muscle near nose?
Can you use botox to relax overactive muscle near nose?
Jun 6, 2017
Yes, Botox can be used in this area but only go to a highly experienced MD for
this as the injection is very tricky and you can get a lip droop!

Is it safe to do VBeam laser if you have melasma?
Jun 6, 2017
Yes, it would be safe to treat with VBeam. Melasma also has a vascular component so
may even help. Make sure your doctor is very comfortable with the laser
treatment.
Clear and brilliant and hair; can it cause hair reduction on a man's beard?
Can Clear & Brilliant cause hair reduction on a man's beard?
Jun 6, 2017
This wavelength is not absorbed by melanin so any hair loss
would be very minor if any reduction at all. Although an individual hair
follicle may be randomly targeted they tend to recover and regrow.
What is the best filler for avoiding getting the tyndall effect under my eyes?
What is the best filler for avoiding getting the tyndall effect under my eyes?
Oct 14, 2016
Vitrase is wonderful at erasing the tyndall effect and works really fast – often immediately! I just reversed this unwanted effect in a patient treated at a local spa just today and have had to this for over 20 other similar patients in the past 6 months. Proper injection technique is SO important in this area and is really something that should be done by expert injectors to minimize the tyndall effect – and other unwanted side effects. I think you should have it dissolved and start ove...

ThermiVa: Is it Safe?
ThermiVa: Is it Safe?
Mar 11, 2016
ThermiVa is a very safe, in-office treatment. It is similar to
other technologies where depositing energy (either via radio frequency,
ultrasound or laser) heats up the tissue and triggers the tightening and new
collagen formation. This treatment requires
no anesthesia, has no downtime and takes
about 30-45 minutes. The treatment should be performed by an
experienced RN or MD to maximize benefits.
ThermiVa: How Does it Work?
ThermiVa: How Does it Work?
Mar 11, 2016
Women with multiple pregnancies often experience
a stretching of the vaginal wall. Depositing heat in this area helps with
both immediate tightening and long term buildup of collagen. ThermiVa is
similar to other technologies where depositing energy (either via radio
frequency, ultrasound or laser) heats up the tissue and triggers the tightening
and new collagen formation. This treatment requires no anesthesia, is performed in the
office, has no downtime and takes about 30-45 minutes....

ThermiVa: Is it Painful?
Mar 11, 2016
No! ThermiVa is a comfortable, painless in office procedure with no downtime. Patients can resume normal activity, including intercourse the same day.
Kybella on the lower cheeks to treat face fullness?
Can Kybella be used on the lower cheeks to treat facial fullness?
Sep 1, 2015
Right now Kybella is only FDA
approved for submental fullness or a “double chin” and because you can get
nerve damage in a 1 cm area around the injection site it would be nearly
impossible to avoid the nerves in that area. The Accuvein finder only finds
vessels so is not that helpful for avoiding nerves.
Is Kybella permanent?
Is Kybella permanent?
Sep 1, 2015
Yes, The fat loss after a Kybella treatment is long term so appears to be permanent. It is important to find a physician with experience.
