Please help! Vaginal canal feels loose & lax, how could I correct this?
Vaginoplasty
Nov 14, 2023
It is difficult to tell what kind of tissue is seen at the vaginal opening. Most likely it is a small posterior bulge of vaginal tissue consistent with a small rectocele from childbirth. If you experience laxity symptoms, vaginoplasty surgical correction would fix both issues and has a good success rate. I would suggest a co summation with a surgeon experienced in both urogynecology and cosmetic gynecology. We offer virtual consults for out of town patients as do others.
What side effects are the most common after diVa?
Diva vaginal laser
Nov 14, 2023
The most common thing to expect after the laser rejuvenation sessions is a slightly bloody discharge cha gong to a watery discharge for 1-3 days. The vaginal tissues can also feel a little irritated or rough with mild itching at first until the healing is complete which takes about 3-7 days. You should not have pain however. Use of PRP can help expedite this healing as well as topical moisture barriers around the opening.
Does each session of diVa Vaginal laser feel the same?
Diva vaginal laser
Nov 14, 2023
Yes the experience should be similar each time but is sometimes perceived as easier after the first session since one knows what to expect. However, with appropriate topical numbing the procedure should not be painful really at all and is rather quick.
Will my clit poke out if I do a clitoral hood reduction?
Clitoral hood
Jul 23, 2022
Clitoral good reduction will inevitably uncover your clitoris more. This can help sensation somewhat but if you are concerned you should address this at the time of your examination with your surgeon as they can help you decide if this too much for your liking or customize the reduction such that only a small amount is exposed. Good luck!
Vaginoplasty/perineoplasty before or after next pregnancy (via c section)?
Vaginoplasty
May 2, 2022
Great question! If you are considering vaginoplasty I would recommend waiting until you are done having children regardless of your route of delivery if you can. While vaginal childbirth clearly does more damage to the vaginal tissues and surrounding structures, pregnancy in general can can affect them somewhat with the hormonal changes and pressure and we can never know for sure what will happen at the time of delivery. What if you go into labor and end up having a vaginal delivery for…
Saggy crepey skin after arm Liposuction – what procedures can be done to tighten skin?
Saggy crepey skin
Apr 12, 2022
Loose skin is not uncommon after liposuction or just aging in general. Skin tightening procedures including radio frequency are usually best such as morpheus 8. This is a radio frequency microneedling procedure that tightens skin by heat induced collagen and elastin remodeling. Typically several treatments are needed and full results are seen after 12 weeks from the last treatment but can be seen gradually. Best wishes!
Has anyone had experience performing Thermiva with a patient who has a copper IUD?
Thermiva and IUD
Aug 29, 2021
Yes you can still have Thermiva with an IUD as it is in the uterine cavity not the vagina. Good luck!
Does vaginoplasty and perineoplasty help with urinary stress incontinence?
Incontinence and vaginoplasty
Feb 16, 2021
Vaginoplasty and perineoplasty are done for Vaginal tightening and perineal relaxation with a gaping vaginal opening. There are other procedures such as sling procedures that are aimed at treating stress incontinence that can be done at the same time and is fairly common. I would suggest seeing an experienced urogynecologist who also does vaginoplasty procedures/cosmetic gynecology. Best of luck!
Queefing during intercourse is there a surgical solution?
Embarrassing intercourse
Feb 12, 2021
This depends on whether your issue is due to some Vaginal laxity or not causing excessive air entrapment or if it only occurs from certain positions as this can also occur in women without any other issues. You would need a thorough examination and if there is vaginal laxity evident then a vaginoplasty is an option. Also how is your sensation and ability to orgasm? Typically when there is laxity these are also of concern. Surgery is not recommended for just “queefing” as there is no gua…
Cystocele and lumps? Can it be repaired?
Vaginal lumps after baby
Feb 12, 2021
You do not appear to have a prolapse but rather some Perineal relaxation
and a bit of a urethrocele or prominence which is common after having children. Vaginas laxity due to stretching of the tissues during childbirth is also Common and often causes decreases sexual sensation for many women after childbirth. These issues can be surgically corrected with vaginoplasty and perineoplasty. As a board certified Irogynecologist amd reconstructive surgeon as well as cosmetic gynecologist this…
Does this look like a prolapse as I have recurrent UTIs and feel heavy down below?
Prolapse?
Feb 12, 2021
This photo does not show clear prolapse and prolapse itself is not typically a cause of UTIs. Also be sure you are getting urine culture results and not just office testing when you have symptoms.
There are other conditions such as bladder pain disorders that cause similar symptoms
as UTIs as well as pressure symptoms
and a board certified urogynecologist can help with exam and further evaluation.

What form of vaginal rejuvenation is recommended for Incontinence after 3 birth deliveries? Is mul
Bladder leakage
May 12, 2020
It sounds like you suffer from stress urinary incontinence which is common after having children. This is very treatable and with high success.   there are level exercises and urethral injections but the highest success and longest result comes from a sling procedure.   I do these in my center with a single incision and local anesthetic! I recommend that you see a Urogynecologist as we specialize in this and other pelvic floor conditions.
What severity of a vaginal prolapse is required for vaginoplasty?
Vaginoplasty
Dec 10, 2019
If you indeed have significant prolapse and incontinence issues then this is a medically covered condition and you should seek a Urogynecologist for options. However, prolapse is not usually the cause of significant pain with intercourse and the etiology of this should be fully explored and treated as surgery could make this worse. Best of luck!
I would like to know if this procedure is ok for a sit down job?
Labiaplasty And work
Dec 9, 2019
Yes it should be safe- it is a matter of avoiding tight clothing and being able to ice the area for the first several days. Most people take off of work for the first several days up to the first two weeks for comfort. Sitting will be better however than standing jobs as they promote more swelling.
