Does smoking break down hyaluronic acid dermal nose fillers or shorten its length?
non-surgical rhinoplasty in smokers
Jan 17, 2019
Hi.  Im not aware of any studies that have looked at smoking and longevity of HA fillers.  Smoking is not good period obviously and affects your beauty and skin and wrinkles so I would suggest quitting if you care about beauty and since you are getting your nose changed obviously you do care about your face.
Nose bridge doesn't look right - Any advise or tips?
shape of nose bridge after 2 nose jobs
Jan 3, 2019
Hi.  Your upper bridge is slightly too low and your lower bridge is slightly too high right above your tip creating a mild "polly beak" effect.  The answer is to raise the upper bridge and lower the lower bridge but seeing as you have had 2 rhinoplasties you may want to just settle for a non-surgical rhinoplasty to elevate the upper bridge.  But that does pose a small risk of infection to your implant.
Do I need a tip lift or not?
nonsurgical changes with the tip
Dec 13, 2018
HI.  Your picture is very zoomed in and provides limited information but based on just this one photo your tip rotation looks fine.
Estimated number of units needed for the vertical lines between my eyebrows?
Botox dosage
Dec 13, 2018
Hi.  Typical dosage for glabella and forehead is somewhere between 25-30 units.  Some need more.  Some need less.  I have patients that do as little as 15 to those areas and a few that need as much as 50.  Id say start with 25 units.
Nonsurgical nose job: what are the risks and can I get one before my breast augmentation?
non surgical rhinoplasty
Dec 3, 2018
Hi.  Ultimately you make the decision and there are hundreds of plastic surgeons who rather operate and let their nurses do the injections but I think you already know there is zero comparison between a surgeon doing injections and a nurse doing injections.  Personally we have never used nurses to do our injections and only one of our 3 Board Certified surgeons would ever touch your nose with a needle - never ever a nurse.  If your gut feeling tells you its not right then you should li...
Can my upturned nose and piggy nose be fixed with a filler?
Upturned piggy nose
Dec 3, 2018
First of all we have to determine IS your nose even upturned and piggy because your picture shows a very unfavorable camera angle.  You are basically holding the camera under your nose so it will always look up your nostrils! Hold the camera are the proper angle and re-take it and see if indeed is as piggy as this picture shows.  I bet it is not as bad.  Some mild correction can be done nonsurgically but to lengthen the nose, surgery is the answer
Had rhinoplasty 3 years ago. Tip is thick. Could a laser help?
Bulbous tip after rhinoplasty
Dec 3, 2018
HI.  No.  Lasers have no place in changing the shape of the nose.  You either have remaining round bulbous cartilages, or thick layers of scar tissue deep under the skin, or thick oily skin that did not allow effective "shrink wrapping" of your skin after your rhinoplasty or a combination of these three.  The proper correction is a revision rhinoplasty not lasers
How can I define and enhance my jawline and reduce my double chin?
realistic expectations
Nov 26, 2018
The photoshop that you did shows extreme changes and it is unrealistic.  I would recommend starting with weight loss to get your face to contour more.  Then you may require a chin implant and rhinoplasty and hair transplant and injections or implants to your mandible but even then the photoshop you did is not likely possible.
Would a tip plasty be a better choice for me than a open rhinoplasty?
tip plasty vs open rhinoplasty
Oct 16, 2018
Hi.  You are confused about the terminology which can be quite confusing.  Open and closed rhinoplasty are terms describing HOW you get to the nose tip and bridge to make the necessary changes.  Tip plasty means just changing the tip with no changes to the bridge.  Tip plasty can be done open or closed.  The tip and bridge have to blend together well so sometimes changing the tip will necessitate some changes to the bridge as well.  Don't worry about open vs. closed.  Find a great su...
What is the best procedures for a better profile?
Better profile
Sep 17, 2018
Hi.  Its hard to tell from selfies and pictures you have posted but Im not in favor of augmenting your chin.  I think it is strong enough yet feminine and a chin implant may be too strong.  But then again I have to see you in person to be able to judge precisely.  What I do notice is a round face and the best way to sculpt it is good old fashioned weight loss followed by fillers to the midface and cheek bones to create a more heart shaped face.  In person consults are better for prec...
Would batten grafts fix my nose asymmetry from the sides?
Nose symmetry
Sep 4, 2018
Hi.  There is no guaranteed way of making your nose more symmetric.  In fact you are pretty darn symmetric.  No one is 100% symmetric. No one has perfectly symmetric eyes, cheeks, lips, jaw, feet or anything else.  Your "degree" of asymmetry is perfectly normal so leave it alone.  Now if the pinching bothers you that is a whole different story.
Tyndall effect persists after two rounds of hylenex, any suggestions?
Melting fillers
Aug 28, 2018
Hi.  The fact that she injected Restylane rather than Juvederm Ultra XC is a good thing. Had she injected Juvy I would question her judgement.  But unfortunately even in the best hands this swelling can occur due to the hydrophilic nature of the HA fillers.  It may take more sessions to melt.  Voluma is much harder to melt than Restylane.  But the swelling from the Restylane may take longer to resolve than just melting the filler itself.  Good luck
Is it possible to obtain the kind of nose I want with the nose I already have?
realistic goals for rhinoplasty
Aug 23, 2018
Hi.  Based just on the photos you posted your goals are fairly realistic and a somewhat similar nose is possible.  Obviously you cannot have anyone else's nose but something similar is possible in the right surgeon's hands.
Considering Revision Rhinoplasty for slightly crooked nose. What procedure would be best? (pho
subtle revision rhinoplasty
Aug 23, 2018
Hi.  Subtle changes with any nosejob are less predictable as far as outcome but even more so in a revision.  If you are happy with it overall I would encourage you to consider using a few simple drops of Restylane once or twice a year to smooth out the edges and make it better.
Any suggestions for asymmetric face? I recently started noticing one side of my face is gettin
Facial Asymmetry
Aug 21, 2018
Hi.  Practically everyone's face is asymmetric.  Some more so than others.  In fact about 85% of us have very asymmetric faces.  Sometimes with fillers or botox you can create the illusion of better symmetry. Ultimately its impossible to be 100% symmetric even if you choose to undergo extreme craniofacial surgery (which you should not).
