What is the downtime for Opus Plasma?
Minimal Downtime with Opus Plasma
Nov 29, 2020
Most patients will experience about 2 days (48 hours) of downtime. You will see texture changes for about 7 days, but it is safe to wear makeup 24 hours after the treatment. Most patients in our clinic do not have to be out of work for any period of time after their treatment. It is a treatment that creates beautiful results similar to a CO2 or Fraxel treatment with minimal downtime!

Does Opus Plasma work on dark skin types?
Opus Plasma For Dark Skin
Nov 29, 2020
Yes, Opus Plasma is FDA cleared and safe for ALL Fitzpatrick skin types, including Fitzpatrick V. It is a very effective treatment for skin resurfacing and has been successful in reducing the appearance of acne scarring, large pores, fine lines, and wrinkles. I recommend consulting with a physician in your area who offers this treatment to see if it is right for you!

What is the cause for my gummy smile and how can I correct it?
Gummy Smile Treatment
Oct 1, 2020
Hello, and thank you for your question and photos! There are likely multiple causes for your “gummy smile,” including orthodontic causes, strong elevator muscles, and a shorter philtrum (distance between upper lip) and nose. Using Botox to weaken your elevator muscles may help improve the appearance of your “gummy smile,” and that’s certainly where I would start. As always, I recommend consulting with an experienced injector to determine the treatment dose that is right for you.

What would be the best treatment for my gummy smile?
Botox for Gummy Smile
Oct 1, 2020
Hello, and thank you for your question and photo! Botox for gummy smile is typically a very successful treatment, and based on your photos, I would certainly recommend starting with Botox before considering surgery. Typically a gummy smile can be treated with a small dose of Botox, usually around 4 units. I recommend consulting with an experienced injector to do a face to face examination to determine what dose and treatment is appropriate for you. I hope this helps!

Ideas for treating my gummy smile?
Gummy Smile Treatment
Oct 1, 2020
Hello, and thank you for your question and photo! I would first and foremost recommend Botox to help treat your gummy smile. Typically, results can be achieved with a small dose, usually about 4 units. I recommend consulting with an experienced injector for an in-person examination. I hope this helps!

Why did my underarm Botox wear off in 2 weeks?
Botox for Underam Sweating
Oct 1, 2020
Hello, and thank you for your question! The answer to your question greatly depends on the dose of Botox that was injected into each underarm and the layer in which these injections were performed. In our clinic in Oklahoma City, we typically inject 50 units into each underarm and sometimes more if needed. If your dose was less than this, you may have been under-dosed, and I recommend following up with your injector for further recommendations. I hope this helps!

P-shot how long will it last?
P-Shot Longevity
Sep 15, 2020
Hello, and thank you for your question! In our office, most men are receiving their P-shot on average every 12 months. We do have some male patients who report such improvement with erection and orgasm with the P-Shot that they choose to come in for the injections every 6 months. However, in my experience, most male patients will notice improvement and resolution of erectile dysfunction issues for a year before needing another P-Shot. I hope this helps!

What is the best procedure for prolapse and stress incontinence, without a sling or mesh, that insura
Emsella for Urinary Incontinence
Sep 15, 2020
Hello, and thank you for your question. Based on your symptoms, I recommend consulting with a physician to see what treatment (surgical or non-surgical) is most appropriate for you. Based on the degree of prolapse, our clinic has had success treating patients with Emsella for urinary incontinence, which is a high frequency magnetic treatment that stimulates the pelvic floor to contract, and in turn strengthens the pelvic floor. This treatment is FDA approved for urinary incontinence. Again,…
How is the vacuum routine after P-shot?
Vacuum Pump After P-Shot
Sep 13, 2020
Hello, and thank you for your question! The vacuum pump in my office is typically recommended for 10 minutes in a row, 1-2 times daily, for 4-6 weeks. You will perform the vacuum pump at normal penis length (not erection length). The pump itself will increase the penis length to erection size because of the suction and increased blood flow. I typically allow my patients to substitute intercourse or masturbation with use of the pump if desired. As always, I recommend consulting with your…
Will the P-Shot help with glans loss of sensitivity?
P-Shot for Increased Glans Sensitivity
Sep 13, 2020
Yes, the P-Shot can absolutely help with glans sensitivity. During the procedure, PRP is injected into several areas along the shaft of the penis but also into the glans of the penis. This stimulates new collagen, elastin, and blood flow to the area, increasing sensitivity. As always, I recommend having an in-person consultation with a physician to discuss the procedure prior to having it performed.

I am looking for the best treatment for acne scars and redness for colored skin
Fractional Laser
Sep 13, 2020
Hello, and thank you so much for your question and photos! For active acne breakouts, I recommend acne clearance laser treatment. In our office, we use a Viora IPL 470 filter for weekly acne treatments, which targets the bacteria underneath the skin. We recommend these treatments until you have significant improvement in your acne breakouts. Once your active acne has been treated, if you have residual acne scarring, I recommend a fractional laser, such as our Opus Plasma fractional skin…
How to treat my post acne and acne scars?
Fractional Laser for Acne Scarring
Sep 13, 2020
Hello, and thank you for your question! I recommend fractional laser for your acne scarring. In our office, we treat these scars with the Opus Plasma Fractional Skin resurfacing laser, which is great for post-acne scarring. We typically recommend waiting 6-12 months after being off Accutane/Isotretinoin prior to treatment with fractional lasers. The Opus Plasma will require 3-4 treatments performed every 4 weeks. I typically see about 40% improvement in scarring with this treatment. As…
How long do I use vFit?
vFit Treatment Protocol
Sep 13, 2020
Hello, and thank you for your question! The typical course for vFit and vFit plus is use for 8-12 weeks. Your device should come with a tailored treatment protocol that I would recommend discussing with your physician. After your treatment course, I typically recommend maintenance treatment with use two days/week as needed for symptoms. I recommend following up with your physician to determine the right maintenance plan for you!

What are the side effects to vFit?
Side Effects From vFit
Sep 13, 2020
The great news about the vFit and vFit plus is that there are very few side effects. I have seen a few patients who have used their device more than the recommended treatment protocol and have had some micro-tears in the vaginal tissue from over use and being too aggressive. I recommend discussing your particular treatment plan with your physician to determine a treatment plan that is right for you!
