Dr. Rose continued on in her career and completed advanced training by the American Board of Aesthetic Medicine. She is one of the few physicians selected to serve as both a Faculty Member of the American Board of Aesthetic Medicine and a Physician Educator. She obtained advanced training and Diplomate status in both Aesthetic Medicine and Regenerative Medicine. Dr. Rosenzweig has practiced medicine in New York, New Jersey, and the state of Florida.

Dr. Rose became interested in hair restoration while attending an intensive seminar and workshop in 2010. After spending a number of years in Aesthetic Medicine, she has chosen a career in hair restoration because it combines her passion for artistry and surgery. She decided to complete a comprehensive HUE (High-Yield Unit Extraction®) Method training program with Dr. Matt Huebner of Natural Transplants, Hair Restoration Clinic. Thank you for your question. The hairline can be transplanted to even out any inherent unevenness along the temporal edges. The beauty of the transplant is that the new hairs can be designed to blend in with your existing hairline and achieve a natural look. Once the hairs have been transplanted and matured (typically at 12 months), the hairs can be styled and cropped. The hairs can be cut or cropped earlier, but they may appear less dense until the 12 month mark.
Will I still get new hair growth 8-10 months post-op?

Thank you for your question. Each patient varies, however there is definitely still growth from 8-10 months post-op. Typically, a good gauge of the density can be appreciated at about the 9month mark. The final result isn't truly appreciated until 12 months. Certain areas such as the crown, tend to take a little longer and can be up to 18 months. The best way to appreciate the progress is to take photos in the same location every month.
Can I keep minoxidil on all day/week?

Thank you for your question regarding Minoxidil. It is not advised to keep Minoxidil on all week. Generally, it is best to wash your hair regularly, at least every other day on Minoxidil (Don't wash for at least 4 hours after application).

Before making any decisions, it's advised to wait for the final density. There still will be more maturing and density in the next few months. Given the fact that you have dark hair on lighter skin background, micropigmentation may be a great adjunct to the transplant.

The grafts are typically very delicate the first night of the procedure, and most at risk of being dislodged. From your description, it seems like you may have caused some bleeding to the area, but didn't actually dislodge the grafts themselves. Typically, you would see the actual grafts dislodged (with follicles) and there would be empty sites where they dislodged from. In your case, it would be advised to add density to the existing hairline, while feminizing the shape overall. The existing hairline should be continued down in order to frame your face and be drawn down through the temple area with a natural curvature. The frontal area needs additional grafts placed in between the existing grafts, and then traced down by the temples to feminize the complete hairline. We specialize in female hairlines.

The hair loss that you have on your temple since birth is most likely a condition called Temporal Triangular Alopecia (which is also known as Congenital Triangular Alopecia). It would be advised to first see a Dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis and rule out any other cause that could appear similar to it (such as Alopecia Areata). If it is truly Temporal Triangular Alopecia, then it can definitely be transplanted into successfully.

It is common for hairs to be appear spacier and "unnatural" looking at 6 months. This can happen up until they have matured, which takes one full year. The hairs will continue to grow and thicken over the course of the 12 months. The final result really can't be appreciated until then, so hang in there! If after 12 months, it hasn't thickened and appeared more dense, at that point you may consider a touch up procedure, but not before then.

Thank you for your question and photos. From the images uploaded, your part appears to be normal thickness without hair loss. At 19 years of age, it would be a good idea to monitor it through the years and this can be done by taking similar photos every 6-12 months to compare. If thinning does become apparent, there are a few preventive medications that can be started, however it is not recommended at this time.

Hello thank you for your question. You are free to move normally right after being treated with injectables, with the exception of lying down. Smoking, or pursing your lips should not have any effect.
