When having a breast augmentation consult the most important consideration is tissue planning. Tissue planing depends on you tissue quality, breast dimension and chest dimension. You must take all three into consideration when assessing the patient to determine what size implant to pick. Thank you for your question. I try to encourage all my patients to have a post-procedure lymphatic massage. This will help your recovery exponentially. Depending on your procedure, I have my patients start lymphatic massage anywhere from 2-7 days after there procedure. It is then recommended to have about 7-10 treatments every other day. After that you can continue with it if needed otherwise you can stop.

Generally, in a tummy tuck all sutures that are used are absorbable and internal. Staples can be used by some, but are not favorable because they can leave track marks.

To determine if you are a candidate for a breast augmentation depends on several factors. Most importantly is your tissue quality and you chest wall dimensions. If both are these are are appropriate you can be candidate for a breast augmentation that can achieve your results. If you skin quality is poor and nipple position is inadequate you may need a lift with an augmentation.

Thank you for your question. First, without pictures it is difficult to give you an accurate answer.
However the are other issues. For one, a breast augmentation at your age is questionable. According to the FDA you must be 22 years of age to have silicone implants, however you can still have saline implants at age 18. At your current age and based on your information you probably do not need a lift.
A final option is fat grafting but this can vary in results with both weight gain and loss...

So sorry to hear about your medical conditions. Since a Tummy Tuck is an elective cosmetic procedure, I think it is best to make sure that all your conditions have resolved prior to proceeding. It is best to wait patiently and make sure that you have no more strokes or cardiac issues for an extended period of time. It is also imperative to have a full work up my the appropriate medical doctors to make sure there are no more underlying issues.

Congratulations on your recent weight loss! It looks like you don't have a lot of extra skin to worry about so I think liposuction would work very well to get the results you're looking for. During a consultation, you could also discuss other options for skin-tightening if a small amount is necessary such as Morpheus Bodytite, etc. With liposuction you avoid the scar of a tummy tuck although a mini tummy tuck does leave you with an easier/faster recovery and a smaller incision. As a double board-certified general surgeon and plastic surgeon, I am more than comfortable repairing a hernia. Depending on the type/complexity of the hernia or if your plastic surgeon is not also a board-certified general surgeon, a separate general surgeon may be needed. In this case your plastic surgeon can usually help you coordinate this so everything can be done at once.

If you are planning to have children I would hold off on a tummy tuck. I think there are several options that can benefit you. Liposuction is a good option and adding bodytite to it can assist in skin retraction up to 40-50%.
You may need a small skin excision to remove excess skin inferiorly, like a mini-tummy tuck.

I think the best is to be examined and assessed by a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

When liposuction is performed the key is to have adequate skin elasticity. IF the skin elasticity is poor the skin will not contract after liposuction. Recently this has improved because of different modalities, but this depends on the patient.

In your case though with having two children and the appearance of your skin I would only recommend a tummy tuck with liposuction. This will give you the optimal result.

A Tummy Tuck is an excellent procedure for patients that have lost weight and have residual skin. It would be best if you can post some pictures to better accurately tell you if you are a candidate. In general though if you have excess skin this can be excised. If you have residual fat this can be liposucitoned at the sometime to improve your contour, but depends on you skin elasticity in the area of liposuction.
