 In my practice we have seen more dramatic results with the use of PRP with the Skin Pen. We too charge a $250 upcharge for PRP per treatment. However, we also use Tensage Growth Factors with Skin Pen and get great results too. Not everyone can afford the PRP but if you paid for it you deserve to get it. Maybe they can do an extra treatment to make up for the 2 PRP treatments you did not receive. 
Will microneedling help soften scar tissue on my nose tip?

There are several treatment options to help soften scar tissue. Microneedling is definately one of them. It will take at least 4-6 treatments and 6 months to see maximum results. Fraxel laser and steroid injections are also great options to soften a thickened scar. Seeing a Dermatologist to discuss the best treatment options would definately be beneficial.
Is this a fake RF microneedling machine (Secret RF)?

I have the Secret RF device and this is NOT it. There are many devices you can purchase on line from China. Alibaba is another website physicians can use when trying to cut corners. I do not know of any RF devices that have reuseable tips. They are all disposable.Most of these devices are not FDA approved. I would question the office. Non FDA devices may still give you results but I am not sure I would trust them to do any further treatments on me.

I think that there are many opinions as to what is best to use post microneedling/Skin Pen. In our practice you use NO cleanser for min of 12hrs but prefer 24 hrs. We dispense Alastin Skin Nectar to use post procedure 2-3 times a day. We add a mineral based sunscreen after 24hrs and patients can use a gentle moisturizer like CeraVe if needed. We have our patients resume their normal skincare regiment after 5 days.  
My face is raw after skin pen treatment. I am also sick. Is this normal?

The side effects that you are experiencing, chills,vomitting and ringing of ears, are not normal ones post microneedling. These are most likely sympoms of your cold. As far as the apperrance of the skin, that does look normal in my opinion. It looks to me like she may have been a little more aggresive then discussed though. You will be surprised how quickly the skin will heal in the 1st 24 hrs. In our practice we use a product by Alastin, Skin Nectar which protects and heals the skin in 1...
I had a treatment for laser hair removal yesterday and now have a burn. Is this permanent?

I would not worry too much. It seem to me that the burns are very superficial and should heal fine. However, I would make sure and keep them moisturized and covered with sunscreen at ALL times, especially while they are healing. Too much sun exposure to these healing wounds can cause hyperpigmentation.

 Laser Hair removal over a dark mole is never recommended. The laser is attracted to melanin, or pigment, which will cause all the energy to absorbed by the mole. This could cause the mole to become burned and then loose pigmentation. The dangers in this is that if the cells of the mole ever change a Dermatologist would be unable to see it. I recommend having the mole checked to make sure it is benign and then have it removed prior to doing LHR over the area.

Microneedling is one of the best options to help reduce pore size. I like to couple it with PRP to give even better results. Microneedling is best done in a pkg of 4-6 treatments  Maintainance is required to keep results with 1 treatment every 4-6 month. Also make sure you are using some type of Vit A cream at night! As far as microneedling affecting the fillers in your cheeks the answer is no. Most fillers are placed deeper then the micro needles reach.
How soon after CO2 laser can I get a chemical peel (VI Peel)?

It is my opinion I feel it would be best to wait at least 6-8 week after laser resurfacing before even considering a chemical peel. It also depends on what type of resurfacing you had done, wheather it be fractionated or fully ablative. If the skin is not fully healed you could cause more harm then good, like causing more hyperpigmentation. I think it would be best to ask the opinion of the provider who performed the CO2 treatment for you to answer this question.

The VI Peel is a professional strength treatment which is NOT ment for at home use. Is also can be a very aggressive peel with proper skin prepping and application. It is NOT a gentle peel by any means. A person could easily burn the skin or make the condition you are trying to treat worse if the proper precausions are not taken before during and after this peel. It should only be performed by a trained professional in a office setting.
Do I need to stop my Omega3's, aspirin, and Vitamin E supplements prior to peel? Thank you.

No oral suppliments  need to be stopped prior to VI Peel. We do not break the skin with a peel and suppliments are ususally stopped before injectables to prevent/lessen bruising.

Your lashes will regrow on their own but you will need to be patient. The regrowth cycle can take as long as 3 months for visible growth. After 6 months maximum growth will be achieved naturally. If at that point you are not happy you could try Revita Lash serum. Revita lash is much less expensive and can be purchased over the counter.
What can be done to encourage eyebrow regrowth after laser treatment?

We have had several patients over the years use Latisse on their eyebrows to help with regrowth. However, after 6 months maximum growth is reached. Minoxidil could also help. I have seen PRP injections also help with regrowth of hair but is costly. As far as vitamins go Biotin helps with skin, hair and nails so wouldn't hurt. Good Luck!

Laser Hair Removal can not cause wrinkles, especially deep ones. I have seen the skin respond to Hydrafacial, after using a peel solution, cause the skin to look wrinkled but it was actually dryness. I have never seen deep wrinkles or smokers lines occur after either treatment. As far as pigmentation I would need more details as to exactly what you had done and the products used during the Hydrafacial to give my opinion.  
INFINI RF vs Secret RF?

I have worked with both devices and both have insulated needle options to help reduce the risk of PIH. In my opinion these devices are operator dependant as far as results are concerned. I have seen amazing results with both Secret and Infini RF. With proper energy being delivered at the correct depth of the skin results, with time, will become visible. I advise my patients to reevaluate 3-6 months after their last treatment with photos for results.
