20 grafts that are out of body are a decent number but in most cases should not affect your outcome

In general, you never want to lose a single graft. In my experience losing 20 grafts is more than I typically have seen. However, if you had a relative large case like 2000-3000 for example, 20 grafts should have minimal impact unless they were all in one area close to one another or along one side of the hairline for example.

Yes, I see that there is relatively poor growth. This could be a technique issue or it may be partly attributed to the presence of the prior scar. However, I have had tremendously good success in transplanting around scars for a few reasons. My staff and I are very carefully in handling the grafts and designing the sites to be minimally damaging to the scalp. A small degree of sun should not hurt your FUE grafts but always check with your physician

I think your careful attention is wonderful. However, grafts are quite durable when placed so long as they are not soaked in dirty water for prolonged periods or rough handled. If someone is going to be in the sun, I tell my patients to consider wearing a hat as a good protection from solar rays. But I always caution patients who are immediately after a procedure by another surgeon to follow that surgeon’s advice.

Shedding does not occur for everyone but it does occur and indicates that hairs are moving into a growth phase. If you have a lot of velds or miniaturized hairs, those are the hairs that are see-through and tiny and are responsive to medical therapy, you have a higher likelihood of shedding. Your recovery appears to be normal but I always suggest that you speak with your doctor. Also, I hope that you are on medical therapy because you appear young. it is important to consider hair management with medicine because you will not have unlimited donor supply. I have attached a video on topical finasteride, which remarkably reduces the risk of sexual side effects to almost zero.

Although I always hesitate to answer questions of a patient who is immediately postop, I can speak in generalities. Specifically, however, I always ask a patient that is immediately postop to speak to his doctor because your doctor knows the specifics.
