Yes surgery will cause another scar, but it would most likely be a linear scar and not catch the shadow that your deep scar is most likely catching. Filling this in with Juvederm or Restylane is a good way to go and the results can be long lasting.

You can treat this with filler injections like Juvederm or Restylane which breaks up the scar tissue, fills the area in so it doesn't catch shadow and stimulates collagen. The result can be longer lasting than filler used for wrinkles. Laser resurfacing- fractional ErYag or CO2 is another option. Takes a series of treatments and time for your body to produce the collagen but results are also long lasting.
