When there is a ptosis that has been present since birth or a very young age, the muscle fibers are often not normal. The level may never be able to be the same as the other eye and if a surgeon gets it so it exactly matches, there could be lagophthalmos or an inability to close the eye. See someone who operates on these kind of problems. Thanks

Firstly before addressing the drooping Right Upper Eyelid make sure you don't have elevation on the Left Upper Eyelid. We see this all the time that a diagnosis is miss because there was say thyroid issues on the opposite eye. Have someone who will do a complete history on or any causes. Did you have this as a child? If so you may have congenital component to your drooping eyelid and after surgery could have incomplete closure...Tread slowly and get a few opinions....Dr. Boxrud

Bo-tox does not cause floaters in the eyes. There is a substance behind the color of the eye called vitreous and when it liquefies, during a normal aging process vitreous floaters occur. When light comes in the eye, it casts a shadow on the image. If you have associated flashing lights, this could be a pulling and you should see an ophthalmologist.

I totally agree with Dr. Steinsapir that these procedures are only indicated in patients that have functional issues. Widening the eyes is not possible. We are born with our own eyelid horizontal measurements and a canthoplasty will shorten not lengthen and eyelid as well and in some cases denervate the nerve over time. Bo-tox for migraine head pain is very different in each patient but most often injections are into forehead and parts of the head like temporalis or occipital areas. I am not sure where the medication was injected. It makes it a little more difficult to answer this question.
