Answer Snippet
Can getting fillers too high on the cheeks give me hollows under my eyes?
Filler under eyes
Sep 14, 2018
The lid cheek junction is a difficult area to manage with fillers alone. Sometimes placing fillers in cheek region can accentuate hollowing in eyes! An experienced injector can really help soften this area. I prefer to use Volbella in this area to soften the junction! It flows smoothly!
I had a septorhinoplasty in December 2017 to correct two humps on my nose. It seems like nothing's
Still dorsal humps after rhinoplasty
Sep 14, 2018
If you are still experiencing the same dorsal humps 9 months after surgery, you should see your surgeon to discuss reasons. Could have scar tissue or calcifications that have formed and may need revision or possible injections to treat. If it’s mild, sometimes can be corrected with use of fillers. See your surgeon to discuss options
1 week 3 days post op Brow Bossing. Too early to tell any difference?
Frontal bossing
May 2, 2018
Your photo shows get you clearly still have swelling and will continue to improve. Anytime you have bone shaven down, the swelling can be around for 4-6 weeks. Be patient and continue follow up with your doctor
I am 23 with droopy cheeks. Been planning a facelift .Is there an alternative?
Facelift
Mar 25, 2018
You definitely don’t need a facelift. That is a lower third facial procedure. Your neck and jawline are great. You are mid face flat and could use fillers (Voluma) or a mid face lift to bring your cheek pads up.
What‘s the safe and effective treatment for scars and light marks left by acne on Asian skin? (Phot
Asian skin
Oct 27, 2017
The first thing is a good skin care regimen for your skin type. Secondly to get a consult to look at your options of peels, laser, dermabrasion that suits you best. The concern for lasers for you is hyperpigmentation and may need some skin lightners to use after treatment. Microneedling and PRP are also some options with no downtime. See a facial cosmetic surgeon or dermatologist to get started
My daughter is 8 year-old. Her upper jaw is protruded out. That's why she can't close her mouth. An
Protruded jaw
Jul 22, 2015
Your daughter has some VME (vertical maxillary excess). She also has a class II bite with over jet. She is only 8 and may grow out of some of this with proper orthodontic guidance. Have her pediatric dentist refer you to orthodontist for further evaluation and recommendation if she needs to go into an early applianceyour daughter may need orthognathic surgery to correct her VME when she gets older, but for now too early to tellGood luck and get her into early ortho to help guide her growth
Can doctors shape my jaw/chin area to be smaller and less pointy like the photo of the blonde girl?
More pointy chin
Jun 14, 2015
To achieve a more slender chin and 'more pointy' is certainly possible. I think the young lady you compare to is somewhat unrealistic. Her condylar angles are more acute and her midface and maxilla lateral dimensions are much lessi think surgically creating a more slender and pointy chin are definitely achievable, but realistic expectations are important to keep in mindGood luck
Is this genioplasty realistic?
Genioplasty advancment
Jun 14, 2015
In looking at simulation, I think 10mm is a really large movement and may have minimal bone contact If this is movement you need good stability and possible grafting at same timeThe picture post op seems over corrected and I may use an 8 mm advancemt to improve predictability of healing and achieve a better esthetic result. Good luck
Caucasian getting a v-shape jaw line through jaw shaving. Is my wish pic realistic?
V shaped jaw
Apr 27, 2015
The photo you have shown beside yours is not realistic and I'm afraid you will be disappointed with results, if this is your expectation. The shape of your jaw can be altered and improved somewhat, but you can't change the lateral width of teeth in lower arch and position of your condyles in the fossa. This young ladies photo is someone with a very petite face and pointy chin. You need to see your surgeon and get some before and after pics that are realistic and give you an idea of your...
If I have braces, do I have to get them again for orthognathic surgery?
Orthognathic surgery and braces
Apr 26, 2015
Most likely you will need braces again to set you up properly for surgery. Usually when you have braces for a bony problem, the orthodontist does camouflage ortho? This means he corrects a bony problem with a dental correction. Go to your surgeon you plan to use and he will let you know if braces are necessary and what will be required. They will take impressions and do model surgery to see how close you are to being ready. Them you can see orthodontist to...
What would you recommend for unsymmetrical bone structure?
Asymmetry
Apr 26, 2015
When someone is asymmetric, you have to determine which side do you like. Are you flat on one side or is there hypertrophy on the larger side. Then you can determine a treatment plan to correct. Also is there a systemic component to it, and is it still changing. Once you get a proper work up, then a treatment plan can be determinedIt is definetely correctable. Get appt with a maxillofacial or facial plastic surgeon to get worked up and good luck with your surgery
Is it alright to get a genioplasty done a month after rhinoplasty?
Genioplasty
Apr 6, 2015
It is fine to have genioplasty done at any time. I will routinely do them together for someone who is retro genic with a prominent noseDoing a sliding genio will give you facial harmony in your middle and lower third of your face. Good luck
What type of jaw surgery should I get?
Masculine ja
Mar 1, 2015
Need to have pics from profile and 3/4 view to determine surgical intervention From frontal view, could use angle implants to widen and sharpen jaw angle. I see profile pic now. Definetely mandibular angle implants would widen lower third of face and improve masculine look
Were premolars extractions necessary?
Premolar removal?
Feb 24, 2015
In looking at your lateral ceph, you have camouflage ortho that will not be stable long term. It was necessary to pull premolars to allow orthodontist to pull back teeth over bone to allow for moremovement anterior in orthognathic surgery. Trying to correct a bony problem with dental correction is poor long term plandouble jaw surgery will greatly benefit you and allow teeth to be in more stable position Your function and cosmetics will be greatly improvedgood luck with orthognathic...
Jawline surgery, neck lipo or fat reduction?
Round face?
Feb 24, 2015
Only having a frontal view is hard to determine if you would benefit from genioplasty vs mid face correctionFrom frontal view I would suggest to define lower third of face with genioplasty vs chin implant and middle third try Voluma to augment cheek region and if is look you like, you could so something more permanent Upload a profile and 3/4 view to give better evaluation to determine what would benefit you most to get desired look you want
