Name: Christie Prendergast, DO
Statement: Dr. Christie is a double-board certified female plastic surgeon with a non-traditional path to
medicine. She grew up all over the world with a large family and as a first-generation physician,
never dreamed of becoming a doctor. At age 17, with $100 to her name, she moved to Los
Angeles and through hard work and mentorship, found her way into medicine. Her osteopathic
medical degree laid down the foundation of a holistic approach to plastic surgery — treating
inside-out. Her passion for helping others and cancer research initially lead her to pursue a
career as a cancer surgeon. After becoming board-certified in general surgery her creativity &
love of aesthetics ultimately guided her to pursue further training in plastic & reconstructive
surgery.
Dr. Christie’s vision is to collectively use 16 years of education to change the beauty world! She
wants to start by make beauty procedures less overwhelming for consumers through education
and curating beauty treatments. The Beauty MatrixTM is a treatment strategy developed by Dr.
Christie to help guide patients when considering medical aesthetic procedures. She believes
correctly addressing all components of aging with a long-term strategy yields the best natural
results.
Dr. Christie understands the expertise needed to master the skills within the beauty industry.
She wanted to help bring this knowledge to her patients through her Curated Beauty Referral
Network where other experts.
Dr. Christie is recognized by colleagues and industry professionals as rising star within the field
of plastic surgery. She shares a passion for innovation, entrepreneurship, & technology but isn’t
afraid to call out the hype. She collaborates with the top aesthetic companies in R&D,

What is the downtime for Opus Plasma?
Downtime for Opus Plasma
Oct 20, 2020
There’s really little downtime. You can expect redness for up to 48-72 hours depending on the settings used for your treatment. You can also anticipate texture changes to be visible for about 1 week. Makeup can be applied the next day. That’s the beauty of Opus.

Am I candidate for FaceTite
May 24, 2018
The best way to determine if you are a candidate for FaceTite is to schedule a consultation with a board-certified or board-eligible plastic surgeon who can guide you on whether the results you are trying to achieve can be accomplished with the minimally invasive therapy or if a necklift/facelift is necessary. I have had excellent results in my patients who are looking for improvement without the surgical scars or downtime.
Permanent or temporary nerve damage?
Nerve injury after FaceTite
May 24, 2018
Temporary nerve palsy can happen after FaceTite and/or neck liposuction procedures. This will resolve with time and is usually temporary. If it persists for a few months you may consider botox to help improve symmetry while its healing.
How Effective is FaceTite Compared to Thermage?
FaceTite vs Thermage vs. Ultherapy
May 18, 2018
FaceTite is a newer technology that utilizes radiofrequency energy (which has been around for many years) to cause skin tightening. I think what is unique about it is the delivery of the heat energy with both an internal and external heat application which helps to very specifically target tissue unlike other types of RF technology like Thermage. FaceTite is a minimially-invasive procedure which targets the deeper tissue which makes the results much more predictable…

Lump after FaceTite
May 18, 2018
It is common to have hardened areas after neck liposuction and the radiofrequency energy. However it is always best to have your surgeon address the area of concern to rule out anything that is out of the ordinary. I always encourage my patients to reach out to myself or my staff if they are concerned about the healing process. Best of luck!
