Botox To Look Refreshed
Neuromodulators and filler for pan-facial rejuvenation
Genetics, lifestyle, and environmental factors can all play into facial aging but fortunately there are many non-surgical options available to help rejuvenate the face.
As we age, we lose volume (fat) and notice more shadows and lines due to the effects of gravity and loss of elastin and collagen.
Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin are neuromodulators that are preventative and also soften/relax the muscles to minimize the appearance of wrinkles, especially with animation.
Investing in neuromodulator treatment will prevent the dynamic wrinkles you have from getting deeper over time.
Filler can help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles that are a result of volume loss (nasolabial folds, marionette lines, mid face volume loss). Treatment at the mid face can give a natural improvement by restoring volume that was previously there.
Consult with an experienced, board-certified injector to help assess your individual needs. (Steven H. Williams, MD, San Francisco Plastic Surgeon)
Botox is the easiest to start with to soften wrinkles. In combination this can be a power fun tool to help lift a cheek, soften the tissues around the eye or improve lip volume. (Robert Whitfield, MD, FACS, Austin Plastic Surgeon)
The combination of Botox with fillers is the best because they help to reverse the changes that occur in the face with aging very nicely. These procedures are done in the office with minimal downtime.
In addition to skin care, having chemical peels and microneedling in the office additional skin improvements can be achieved without the long recovery seen with surgery. (Aldo Guerra, MD, Scottsdale Plastic Surgeon)
Facial injections – who is a good candidate
The fillers will address the volume loss in your cheeks and gently lift the face so as to minimize the slight jowling.
In the right hands the improvement will be very subtle, but very real. No one will be able to know that you have had the procedure specifically, but they will tell you that you look great.
Neuromodulators will help reduce any wrinkles in the brow area and in the upper face. All together this will give you a refreshed, lifted and rejuvenated look, while at the same time being very natural.
Make sure to seek out an experienced injector as that can make a big difference. (Paul Flashner, MD, Boston Physician)
Facial fillers and BOTOX® injections are excellent nonsurgical options for looking younger.
BOTOX® can help minimize the “crow’s feet” beside eyes and the slight frown lines between brows by relaxing the facial muscles that create these dynamic wrinkles.
Fillers can restore lost volume in the lower face and under the eyes. Schedule repeat treatments a few times a year to maintain a younger appearance. (Joseph J. Castellano, MD, Tampa General Surgeon)
Treatments for aging
Botox is a purified protein used to address wrinkles associated with facial expression.
It is commonly used to treat wrinkles on the forehead and around the eyes, some of the common changes seen with aging.
Fillers can be placed in the cheeks, tear troughs, nasolabial folds, and temples to restore lost volume. Lasers can be used to treat uneven color and fine wrinkles. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. (Alex Eshaghian, MD, PhD, Encino Physician)
The major facial change with aging is loss of fullness (fat) in the cheeks which causes the cheek to deflate and drop.
Filler injections such as Voluma into the cheek or mid face area can help rstore the “apple cheeks” of youth. Botox can be helpful to lessen “crow’s feet” and frown lines and lift the corner of the mouth. (Brooke R. Seckel, MD, FACS, Boston Plastic Surgeon)
I always tell my patients that small subtle touches of botox and filler can keep you looking youthful, vibrant, and really hold on to the beauty that you’ve always had.
If you can target one or several areas on your face that you feel are showing signs of aging, this can help us pinpoint the trouble areas. (Philip K. Robb Jr., MD, Atlanta Otolaryngologist)
In the office we can do a procedure called a liquid facelift – this will relax the lines around your eyes, eyebrows, and forehead with Botox and lift your cheekbones with Fillers to soften the lines around your mouth and lower face.
Consider a consultation with a board certified physician to discuss your goals and how best to achieve them. (Samuel Baharestani, MD, FACS, Long Island Oculoplastic Surgeon)
The purpose of fillers is to minimize lines and provide fullness to the face, while the purpose of Botox is to address the lines in the forehead and crows feet, as well as reduce the appearance of frowns. (Michael S. Mall, MD, Las Vegas Physician)
Botox can help relax wrinkles in the corners of the eyes and gently lift the brow.
Fillers can be used to replace volume. Voluma can be used in the cheek area and Volbella for the tear trough area. (Kian J. Samimi, MD, FACS, San Diego Plastic Surgeon)
You would absolutely benefit from botox and fillers to look and feel more refreshed. The “sad and tired look” is exactly what brings patients into the office. Set up a consultation with your provider and discuss your areas of concern so they can help you to look and feel rejuvenated! (Patricia Faraz, MD, Ladera Ranch OB-GYN)
Botox and filler benefits
Botox and fillers can be used to enhance and reverse the appearance of aging. Botox can reduce the lines in the forehead, crows feet and glabella area. This gives the patient a refreshed well rested look.
Fillers can increase the volume that is lost with aging and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Most patients will feel and have others comment that they look like they just came back from a vacation.
Botox and fillers give a subtle affect that will embellish your appearance. (Farhan Taghizadeh, MD, Phoenix Facial Plastic Surgeon)
you certainly could benefit from both dermal fillers and Botox. Both are excellent treatments to address different facial issues with minimal downtime. Dermal fillers (products like Voluma, Vollure, Juvederm, Restylane, etc) are designed to address volume loss on the face – they replace fat and bone loss, and can help subtly lift and contour the face.
Depending on the products you and your physician select, and where they are injected, the results can last anywhere from 6 months to over 2 years. Neuromodulators like Botox and Dysport treat expression lines in the skin, by temporarily reducing overactive muscle movement that can crease the skin.
Most patients find that they need Botox treatments 3-4 times per year. It may also be worthwhile to consider a skin resurfacing laser treatment, like the Halo laser. While laser treatments require a little more downtime than fillers and Botox, they are an excellent way to stimulate collagen in the skin, to improve sun damage and the overall texture of the skin.
I often recommend a combination of all three treatments for best results. I would recommend scheduling a consultation with a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns and come up with the best treatment plan for you. (Faiyaaz Kalimullah, MD, FAAD, Chicago Dermatologic Surgeon)
