Botox On Chin Before And After
Smooth Chin with Botox
Neuromodulators (muscle relaxers) like Botox or Dysport can nicely smooth the dimpling you see on your chin when you smile. Lots of my patients feel this is their favorite area to get treated.
It is best to see a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon with extensive training and experience in neuromodulator injections. (Kristine Romine, MD, Phoenix Dermatologic Surgeon)
Orange peel chin
In my opinion, working on smoothing out the chin is done nicely with botox. If the wrinkling/orange peel effect occurs with smiling or frowning, then botox is a good option.
If, however, you feel your chin also has texture issues when you are not smiling or frowing, other treatments such as microneedling can be used in combination with botox to smooth the skin.
This can better be evaluated in person so be sure to get a consultation with a board certified physician before treating. (Melissa McRae, DO, Mansfield Physician)
Botox for chin
Most definitely, Botox can help smooth out chin irregularities when you smile. Your chin muscles are very active and botox works on dynamic muscles.
This would be my first recommendation. A full clinical examination is necessary to determine if you would benefit from chin surgery. (Michael P. Morrissette, DDS, Ventura Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon)
A very small amount of Botox will soften the appearance by slowing down the mentalis muscle that is giving the chin that appearance.
It is a pretty safe area to inject if done by someone familiar with the anatomy. (Michael Hakimi, MD, Beverly Hills Physician)
Botox For Chin Dimpling
Botox can be used successfully to improve chin dimpling from mentalis muscle hyperactivity.
The treatment can also be combined with fillers and lasers to improve any loss of volume or skin texture irregularities that may be present.
Make sure you see an experienced provider to minimize risks of complications in this area. (Michael A. Zadeh, MD, FACS, Sherman Oaks General Surgeon)
