The number one side effect is extremely red skin where the device is placed for an hour or two. Some people have had sensitivity to the sticky pads or grounding pads on their skin. One side effect is mild soreness in the treated area. Lastly, the first treatment may not produce enough of a result so a second treatment may be needed.

Trusculpt ID takes at least 8-12 weeks to see results. It is usually subtle so I recommend taking photos.After 12 weeks, I will recommend a second treatment if the goals have not been met.Some people with less fat to melt have seen some results even as early as month but that is not the norm. It is an excellent procedure without downtime so may be perfect for you.

During trusculpt ID our goal is to treat the fat and skin to 43-44.5 degree C. Sometimes patients cannot tolerate 44.5 so we need to drop down the temperature. We have to balance comfort with the target. Most people can tolerate the target temperature; however areas like the back of the arms are more sensitive.
Is truSculpt ID worth it? I'm nervous about CoolSculpting due to nerve damage and shelving.

Trusculpt ID can treat an area the size of a 8x11 inch piece of paper. It will melt fat and shape the body. Committing to two treatments is smart as usually there is a discount. If you are happy after one treatment you may be able to use the other for another area. Each treatment reduces 15-20 percent of the fat. You appear in the photos to have good skin and not too much looseness. In my experience you would do well.
I'm seeking advice regarding Botox making the inner aspects of my eyelids droop.

Eyelid droop is a risk of Botox. It is possible due to the shape of your eyelids and brows that the injections may be too close to your brow. I would also suggest not injecting the procerus muscle. The lateral edge of the glabella may be too lateral causing a drop. Botox injections are more of an art and need to be tailored to individual's anatomy.

My go to for the eleven lines caused by the glabella muscle is BOTOX!!!That is the number one indication for Botox. Occasionally there is a residual line or etched line in the forehead, some very light fillers can be used there minimize the lines. One caution is there are case reports of blindness from injected in the eleven lines.

Hydroquinone is use to lighten pigment in the skin. It can be purchased in different strengths. At lower strengths you may not notice the flaking. Even some formulations are also soothing so as not to produce the flaking. A prescription concentration is 4% hydroquinone. Other strengths can work too, but they will take longer to achieve your desired results

It gives volume and had has longevity of at least a year.There are a number of other fillers that from other companies that also enhance the cheeks.What I personally like about the Restylane lyft is its versatility. It can also be used in the nasolabial folds and lower face.

I am a huge fan of IPL or Limelight to get rid of brown spots. I also like using it with Laser Genesis to stimulate collagen. Most of my patients also use either ZO Skin Care or Defense to stimulate more collagen and maintain a good complexion.
Is it okay that cheek is tender to touch 4 weeks after Voluma?

I find that patients can have some tenderness after Voluma for several week. Since the injection is very deep, the needle can sometimes bruise the periosteum or bone. These injuries take awhile to feel better. Usually motrin will help with the pain.
There is a rare risk that you could have an infection. Given that possibility, you should see your provider for an evaluation.
I got this after voluma injection. What is it? It will resolve with time?

When I inject Voluma, I inject little amounts in balls in the areas I want to lift. Initially there is swelling in the area and some lumpiness. Usually over the first 3 weeks, the swelling and lumps smooth out. By a month, the cheek should feel smooth. If you still have a lump in 3 weeks, your provider can massage it to integrate into the skin or dissolve it with hylenex.
Is there a difference between how deep voluma vs. Radiesse is injected in the temples?

Both Radiesse and Voluma are good fillers for the cheeks ( zygoma) and the temples. Both offer a lift to the tissue. When injecting in these two areas, both Radiesse and Voluma are injected very deep just above the periosteum. Some other hyaluronic acid fillers can be injected more superficially; however, radiesse must alway be deep. Radiesse is not indicated for superficial lines. It is white and would be visible if injected more superficially.
