Great question! Patient’s with thicker skin can still have a great result with a rhinoplasty. I always educated that results may not be as defined or extreme as someone with thinner skin. I also like to start my patients on a Retin-A topical product before and after surgery which helps with skin quality. I hope this helps.

Great question. It is safe and effective to undergo a rhinoplasty with thicker and oily skin. Great questions! You do seem to have thicker skin but should also still be bale to have a good result with a tip rhinoplasty. I instruct my patients to go on tretinoin or a retinol prior to surgery and also after which helps with the skin quality. I would not recommend methods used for rhinophyma as they are more intense and you do not require those options. I hope this helped!

Good question. Although it is difficult to assess your nasal hump/width without a straight on and lateral photo, dorsal hump reduction can be achieved with rasping (shaving) and cartilage removal. The hump usually consists of both parts so may be more complicated than just rasping. Regardless, this is a very commonly performed surgery.

Thank you for your great questions. Dorsal hump reduction can be done either with a closed or open approach. Many times it depends on the comfort level of the surgeon for the given technique. I have done both of these approaches and they both give a fantastic result.

Thank you for your great question. Honestly you can go any of those routes and I have done all three.
Liquid rhinoplasty is a great option to reduce the appearance of the hump. It takes less than 5 minutes and you are in and out of the office with no downtime. The downside is it does not fix the actual problem and is temporary. May people try this prior to getting surgery.

Thank you for you question. To start, you have a very nice side profile and face. In my opinion two things contribute to an aesthetic side profile, the nose and the chin. In your case if you were interested, you could benefit from a rhinoplasty. With the nose you are able to take down the hump and get a slight slope with the tip pointing more up rather than giving the droopy appearance.

Great question. One of the most common complications of a facelift is a hematoma or bleeding and with warfarin or coumadin this is substantially higher. I would advise against a facelift at this point. There are many non invasive options that are safer which include Zaffiro. I hope this helps.

Great questions! Many different factors lead to scarring and everyone is different. The best indicator is usually previous scars on your body and the face does tend to heal well. When I perform a facelift I make sure all my scars are well hidden around the ear and hairline. I also start aggressive scar therapy right away which can include laser treatments.

You would be a great candidate for a neck and lower face lift as this would greatly help the jowls and neck. This will also help define your jawline very well. A chin implant can also help with this but to a very lesser degree. Doing them at the same time is also an option with the right plastic surgeon. I hope this helps.

Great question. We usually do these operations at the same time for the face as it only requires anesthesia and trauma once. If you were unable to do so, I would recommend doing the facelift first as you may not fully need the fat transfer afterwards. Also you will get a better idea of what areas of the face are deficit after the face lift. I hope this helps.

Thank you for your question! I would recommend at this point undergoing a face/neck lift. It will provide you with the best and most long-term outcome. Jawline filler would be temporary and although it may mask SOME of the excess skin and fat it will not correct it.
