Is 30 too young for Bellafill in NLF and cheeks?
Is 30 years old to young to get Bellafill
Mar 7, 2019
You may be an ideal candidate for Bellafill. You have had temporary fillers and liked the result. Bellafill lasts up to 5 years. It is a beautiful product that integrates well with the tissue. Care must be taken to not overtreat because it is not easily reversed.
What to put on skin and what to avoid post microneedling?
Microeedling post care
Mar 6, 2019
After having Microneedling done it is best to use very gentle and hydrating products. Immediately after you do not want to use irritating products like retin-A or any acids like glycolic acid or salicylic acid. Most providers will provide you with recommendations or even a post care kit. Gentle cleansing, hydration and protection from the sun are very important so that you get your desired results.
What should I expect for downtime with microneedling performed on a low setting?
Downtime from Microneedling
Mar 6, 2019
Microneedling is a great procedure for improving tone and texture of the skin. The settings can be adjusted with the pen to be less or more aggressive. Typically there can be mild redness for a couple days with less aggressive settings. You will need to use extra hydration and be absolutely sure to use sun protection because your skin will be more sensitive.
Would a chemical peel repair my chin acne scar skin?
Acne scars in chin
Feb 4, 2019
I can see that this has been frustrating for you. You have issues with hair growth and acne scars. The first place you need to start is with the hair. First, a medical evaluation may be needed to see if you have some type of hormone imbalance which is causing you to have this unwanted hair growth. If so, this underlying cause needs to be addressed. Then, you need to look at having the hair removal. Laser hair removal with a laser that is safe for skin of color can help. With shaving and...
Wold PRP be a good option for me?
Would PRP be a good option for me?
Feb 4, 2019
Treatment for facial aging typically requires a combination of procedures. Each procedure has it's place. Botox is great for movements with expression such as the elevens between the brows and forehead lines. Fillers are great for restoring volume and filling deeper folds. PRP (Platelet rich plasma) is wonderful from improving skin tone, texture and stimulating collagen. In particular, I have seen wonderful results using PRP under the eyes to improve the appearance of hollows and...

Jan 31, 2019
You are at the perfect age to get started on a program for healthy skin. It is better to know now than to wait until you have more advanced signs of aging and requires more aggressive procedures. There are a number of options such as chemical peels, microneedling, etx. The Consultation is an important step to address your facial concerns and come up with a plan.
Thinning hair on top, hairline fine. Will PRP help?
PRP for hair loss
Jan 8, 2019
It is possible that you will respond to PRP injections for hair loss. The growth factors in PRP can improve blood flow, decrease inflammation and rejuvenate the hair follicle. The procedure works best in areas where there are still viable follicles. It is worth it for you to have an evaluation.
Interested in microneedling for eyelids + PRP. What are the pros and cons for dark skin patients and w
Microneedling with PRP. Want to enhance quality of under eyelid skin.
Jan 3, 2019
Microneedling with PRP is a wonderful procedure. We see an improvement in crepey skin, fine lines and wrinkles and overall tone and texture. It is safe for darker skin types. However, because post procedure inflammation can result in hyperpigmentation, it is best to not have an overly aggressive treatment. Also, preparing the skin prior to the procedure is of benefit. Going into the procedure with hydrated and healthy skin will improve the recovery time and the results.
Do I need to get Botox in my 11's (frown lines) before I get it in my forehead?
Do I need to have injections of the 11s before doing the forehead lines?
Nov 30, 2018
There is a tug of war between all of these muscles regarding brow and forehead position. The injections between the brows soften the elevens but also can impact the forehead because of spread of the Botox. Treating the forehead lines can be tricky because these muscles elevate the brows. If a dosage that is too high is given or if the injections are close to the brows, droopy brows can results. If you have strong and active muscles between your brows, they probably should be treated as...
I'm a male looking into PRP treatments for hair loss, what side effects should I be aware of?
Can PRP treatments for hair loss impact fertility?
Nov 28, 2018
PRP (Platelet rich plasma) therapy for hair loss uses your own platelets to rejuvenate the hair follicles. This procedure does not use hormones and should have no impact on fertility. The platelets act locally and improve circulation, decrease inflammation and can rejuvenate the hair follicle.
Is PRP stem cell therapy for hair growth worth it? 55-year-old woman with thinning hair.
Stem Cell therapy and PRP for thinning hair
Nov 28, 2018
There are many variations on stem cell and PRP regiments for thinning hair. I have seen good results using PRP alone, as injections. A series of 3-4 treatments with follow up and maintenance every 3 months. PRP ( Platelet rich plasma) contains growth factors that improve circulation and may attract stem cells to the area of injection, resulting in rejuvenation of the hair follicle. I recommend that you explore multiple options for treating your thinning hair.

Acne scar treatment

We are seeing nice results with Microneedling with PRP for acne scars. Options include the Vivace RF Microneedling device or Microneedling with a pen. These are procedures that are not invasive and have minimal downtime.

Am I a candidate for PRP? My hair is quite thick everywhere except right at the hairline?
Nov 13, 2018
You may be a good candidate for PRP hair injections. You are blessed with thick hair. PRP does work best where there is hair present. Those areas that are thinning likely have follicles that can respond to the growth factors in PRP. Typically 3 sessions are needed and it takes some time to see results. You should consult with a practitioner regarding this option
What is the best and most efficient method to collect PRP in order to be injected into the scalp?
What is the best and most efficient method to collect PRP in order to be injected into the scalp?
Nov 13, 2018
You will find that there are differences in opinion about the best PRP to use for hair stimulation. Physicians are getting good results with all the different types of PRP. I suggest that you have multiple consultations with providers and make your decision about which provider you would like to have the procedure with. Discuss the various options with them at your consultation.
Which would benefit me more, microneedling with PRP or just straight PRP injections?
Which would benefit me more, microneedling with PRP or just straight PRP injections?
Nov 13, 2018
You will need to prioritize your concerns because there is not one procedure that will take care of all your concerns. Microneedling with PRP can help with fine lines and wrinkles. However, this will not restore lost volume in the cheeks or treat the nasolabial fold. It is a good place to start though because you can have collagen stimulation and overall appearance of the skin.
