Hi! It all depends what the original biopsy diagnosis was. For example, there are some moles that are removed and NOT cancerous/dangerous – if some brown color grows in your scar in this instance, it is ok! If the original diagnosis was in fact a highly atypical nevus, melanoma-in-situ, or melanoma, then yes, brown discoloration of your scar would be worrisome for recurrence.
