What is Vivace Microneedling?
Most comfortable RF microneedling
Sep 1, 2021
In the right hands, this is a top notch RF micro-needling device. RF stands for radio-frequency which is a form of electric current. The insulated gold micro-needles deliver this energy to different levels of the skin. Sounds painful? It could be if the machine is designed to staple your face and deliver large amount of heat in a poorly controlled fashion. Vivace is made and designed in South Korea where RF micro needling is very popular. This device allows the surgeon to have complete...
Is their any other permanent treatment for freckles?
Freckles & Laser
Oct 19, 2018
There are many ways to get rid of freckles with laser. IPL works great for the pigmentation. There is also another laser called PiQo4 laser, fantastic for dispersing even pigmentation throughout the layer dermis and epidermis of the skin. PiQo4 laser treats a wide range of pigment colors and its versatile energy matrix ensures effective shattering of pigment deposits. You should do a consultation on either of the two lasers. Of course there are more alternative options out there but laser is ...
Laser treatment. Was it not done properly?
Pigmentation
Oct 19, 2018
This is completely normal experience. The sunspot is supposed to turn dark and flake off the skin with IPL. The pigment was worked up to the surface and now your skin will begin to slough it away. The scab that you have right now is that pigment going away. If you feel you have more concerns please visit your dermatologist to help guide you.

Chemical Peels
Oct 18, 2018
Hello Andrea, To do a chemical TCA peel on your skin at home can be very dangerous if not done correctly. The pH of the peel is important to know the depth it will go into the skin & the % of the peel is how much the strength of how much it will irritate your skin. It is never recommended to do a peel yourself (unless the pH is higher and percentage is lower, therefore safe enough for you to do. I recommend that you see a professional as soon as possible to ensure your skin will heal cor...
Should I opt for CO2 fractional laser for my scars or continue with RF microneedling?
Laser for Acne Scaring
Oct 11, 2018
Hello! Through the photos you have posted I would suggest you either try ResurFX Laser OR CO2. ResurFX laser is a non ablative fractional laser, while CO2 is a fractional more aggressive laser completely making the a new layer of skin cells. With CO2 laser you only need 1 treatment but you will have downtime to heal, with ResurFX you have zero downtime but you do need more than 1 treatment to get the best results. Both are noticeably amazing results. I would suggest consulting with your derm...
Will microneedling loosen the skin and is it irreversible?
Microneedling
Oct 11, 2018
It is highly unlikely that you should experience laxity in your skin. I am very unsure as for how you feel that is the cause or that your skin is already "loose". Microneedling stimulates collagen growth in the skin for tighting, evening out skin texture, and helps with hyperpigmentation in the skin. Following right after the treatment your pores are more open in your skin making you more dehydrated from lack of water because your skin is more exposed. It is important to follow up with a t...
Are there any doctors in the NY/Queens area who can treat my acne?
Acne Treatment
Oct 11, 2018
Acne is a cause from inflammation under the skin. There can be various explanation as to why it appears, but the best solution is to have a correct skincare routine that is designed perfectly for you and to help fight off any bacteria on the skin first. The first step to correct the problem, is control the acne and bacteria from growing.Salicylic acid is a fantastic way to help relieve inflammation, redness, and is beneficial to treat acne in oily skin. I would suggest for you to come to a ...
Do I need to cut out some skin and get an incision to get good results?
Just the right amount
Oct 8, 2018
Looking at this 3/4 view, you will benefit from asian blepharoplasty. Please find an experience surgeon because this operation requires special skill sets.  In a recent conference attended by top plastics surgeons in New York City, the consensus was that asian belpharoplasty is one of the most challenging cosmetic operations. Removal of too much skin and fat will result in unnatural appearance, multiple folds and hollowness of the orbit.
Good Luck!
Tiny rashes on the chin and upper lip after facial
Facial
Oct 5, 2018
Sometimes a deep enriched exfoliating/cleansing facial may make you break out. This can be common IF you haven't had a facial in a very long time. The reason for this is because there is bacteria trapped underneath your skin and a facial can make the bacteria come out of your skin. Thus, you experience a few minor breakouts. An experienced esthetician can usually predict if you'll be getting some slight post-facial breakouts. But once those heal up, the pores should be much clearer to pr...
I have acne scars on my nose. How can I remove it? What is the total cost to reach the desirable fina
Acne Scars
Oct 5, 2018
Hello, there are many ways for you to remove acne scarsOne of the many popular methods is using micro-needling to stimulate collagen & re-texture the skin, great for acne, wrinkles and more. Micro-needling is a low level pain procedure that is very popular and can give great results. The average cost is around 100 dollars per treatment. Everyone is different but the normal amount of treatments is around 6 to give best results. This is a great alternative   Another popular method is using las...
Can I get a HydraFacial within 10 days after getting my photofacial?
YES
Sep 23, 2018
I found hydrafacial to be an excellent adjunctive treatment to IPL photofacial.  For those looking to brighten their skin, our aestheticians often add the ZO booster to the Hydrafacial.  I had the treatment done myself. I love it.
Silicone Implant to Get Sharp Tip in Asian Rhinoplasty?
Natural is better
Sep 23, 2018
No.  Silicone and Goretex are not the only materials.  Due to the risk of complications associated with artificial materials, I recommend my patients to use rib cartilage graft.  It is true that some patient do not have enough septal cartilage either naturally or due to previous surgery, but everyone has enough ribs.Another very important factor in creating a refined tip in Asian skin is managing the soft tissues.  Asian skins are thicker with require more attention. Most importantly, you mu...
Can’t decide on the right crease height for my Asian eyelid surgery. How do I choose the crease while
No need to struggle
Sep 23, 2018
Looking at the photo you provided, you already have a "double eyelid" crease.  I understand that you want the fold to be more dramatic.  This can be done by keeping your current crease height which is about 5mm, reposition the fatty tissue to improve the hollowness which is more pronounced in the left upper peri-orbital region. Keep the tissue resection to a minimum. You will be fine.
How Long Does It Take to See Ulthera Results?
Only time will tell
Sep 16, 2018
If you are a good candidate and proper technique was used, you should see some result in 3 months.  Do not expect a result like facelift because it is not meant to be.
What is the Safest Material for Asian Nose Bridge Augmentation? (Rhinoplasty)
Natural Material Always!
Sep 16, 2018
I have a collection of various artificial material from around the world I found during revision rhinoplasty.
That being said, silicone and Goretex nasal implants, when used properly, has a high safety profile.
However, I can not create the natural appearance I tried to achieve with such material.  Furthermore, the most challenging aspect of East Asian Rhinoplaty is the refinement of the tip.  This simplely cannot be done without cartliage grafts.I recommendation for anyone who is con...
