As we age, we lose volume which creates sagging and the nasolabial folds as well as marionettes get deeper. It is hard to evaluate your face with only a frontal view, looking at your profile and 3/4 view would allow a better evaluation. However, if it is only your jawline you are concerned about, having Voluma injected in your cheeks along your cheekbones (not in the apples of your cheeks) would lift and give more definition to your face. If it is just your 11’s, crows feet, & bunny lines, Botox is your better choice. Your provider will guide you on how many units you need. You need enough to make a difference. If you don’t do enough because you’re afraid of looking unnatural, your lines might not diminish and your Botox might not last 3 months, you might feel like “it didn’t work”. Being undertreated is a common problem. The FDA has approved 20 units in the glabella (the 11’s) and 24 units in the crow’s feet….

Botox may help the drooping of your lids and it definitely brightens the eyes! I use Botox as a quick fix and recommend other treatments that will stimulate collagen production to create a lift over time including Ultherapy and microneedling. Find a clinic that has a lot of experience with multiple treatments and they can guide you to the best treatment for you! Good Luck!
