I have wrinkles on the forehead: Thermage or Botox?
Botox forehead
Sep 19, 2020
I would recommend starting with Botox (Dysport or Jeaveau) and always starting a skin care regimen to protect in the morning and to stimulate collagen repair at night. If results are not sufficient for you, next steps would be to look at radiofrequency mcironeedling or Subnovii plasma pen treatments. Best
Which treatments would my side profile benefit from?
Side Profile Fillers Chin and Cheeks & consider Kybella
Sep 19, 2020
Hi, beautiful! To start, I would recommend dermal fillers for chin optimization and cheek recontouring. Also, at that time, we would evaluate for Botox. Next consideration would be Kybella for jawline definition (sometimes, adding additional filler to jawline). Always, evaluate skin care regimen and devices such as radio frequency microneedling to stimulate collagen.
Can I get lip injections after I've already had permanent lip implants?
Lip Filler
Sep 8, 2020
Yes, you are able to add lip filler to your lips after lip implants. A small amount of Botox added to the filler can allow more of the lip to be seen (a lip flip). A lip lift - a surgical procedure where the area between the lip and the bottom of the nose is shortened so that you can see more lip - is also a possible idea.Best to you.
What is the alternative for under-eye wrinkles if I can't inject under the eye?
Undereye wrinkles or crepey skin
Sep 8, 2020
Hi - Our favorite treatments for crepey skin are 1. Hetter peel, 2. C02 laser resurfacing, and 3 . Virtue radio frequency microneedling. We consult and decide based on skin type, severity of concern, and available downtime. We also like our patients to use Alastin Restorative Eye cream twice daily at home. Hope this helps!
What is the best way to treat vertical lip lines?
Volbella and Botox. We also love the Hetter peel.
Aug 25, 2020
For no downtime, Botox to help treat muscles that create vertical lip lines softens the lines. There is risk of side effect so please discuss with your practitioner. We also treat with Volbella filler. If patients are ok with downtime, the Hetter peel is a treatment we are using more. Other options include laser and microneedling. The good news is there are choices here!
I removed a mole and it left a black spot. How can I get rid of it without going to a doctor?
Mole Removal - Dermatologist
Jul 15, 2020
Hi! You do need to visit your dermatologist as it may mean the mole is not completely removed and needs further removal. Even if it is a discolored scar, re-evaluation would be safest - and further solutions can be discussed at that time. Best to you!
What can I do for my heavy mouth corners, not marionette lines? I’m hoping for something that would la
Sculptra and Botox
Jul 7, 2020
Thank you for sharing your pictures. I like treating with Sculptra injections in my younger patients as it revolumizes/ recontours the face and it stimulates new collagen which helps with firming and mild sagging. In addition, adding Botox including to the depressor muscles of the mouth could help. Best to you.
Is Sculptra injected with a cannula or a needle?
Sculptra can be injected with needle or cannula
Jul 7, 2020
Sculptra can be injected with needle or cannula - I prefer needle on the face and I use a cannula if treating the neck /decollete or buttocks. The dilution for these areas is different and evaluation of the neck with consultation is advised.
Should I get fillers? Or braces?
Cheek Filler - Restylane Lyft or Juvederm Voluma
Jul 5, 2020
I think recontouring the cheek and undereye area would be helpful. Start with hyaluronic acid fillers since these are reversible - Restylane Lyft or Juvederm Voluma. As a first step, I would return to your rhinoplasty surgery to discuss and get re-evaluated for your nasal concerns. This would be the safest. Best to you.

Is tretinoin safe for a 75 year old woman to use?
Tretinoin and ages
Mar 24, 2020
Yes, Tretinoin is one of my favorite products! It is safe to use as long as you do not have any allergies to the product's ingredients. Many patients of all ages use Tretinoin to treat acne, wrinkles, and pigmentation. Rapid cell turnover and collagen stimulation caused by Tretinoin improves tone and texture. Apply a pea size amount at night to the entire face, be careful to not apply on lips and and stay along the orbital bone. It is recommended in one month to...
How many Motus AX treatments do I need to see results?
Number of Motus AX treatments
Mar 24, 2020
Motus AX laser hair removal is recommended in six to eight treatments to see your best results as the hair grows in three different stages. However, patients can start to see initial results in one treatment. I highly recommend it as it enhances the laser hair removal experience.
What skin type can use Motus AX for hair removal?
Skin types for Motus AX hair removal
Mar 24, 2020
The New Motus AX laser hair removal is suitable for all skintypes, and is painless! Avoid suntanning at least 2 to 4 weeks prior to treatment. I’ve had the Motus personally and it’s pain free quality still amazes me.
Need answer from a doctor - how long does a patient need to wait to get a chemical peel after EC02 fra
Chemical Peel after Resurfacing
Feb 10, 2020
It typically depends on the settings (the strength) the fractional laser was done at, your skin type and healing time, and, then, also the type of peel that you would like to do. One year is a typical time frame for some, and some others recommend waiting at least three months. Best is to reach out to your provider for more discussion and instructions. Risk of scarring does not go up with multiple treatments if skin has fully healed in between treatments.
Can I get away with one syringe of cheek filler to address my under-eye area or do I need a syringe th
Cheek and Tear Trough filler
Feb 10, 2020
Thank you for your question. For under eye filler, depending on patient, it may be required to treat cheek first. If cheek is volume deficient, I also restore this area first. This may take 1 to 2 syringes or more, and then tear trough area takes 1 to 2 syringes. Volume loss is expected at 34 years old, as well, and there are great options to restore that including hyaluronic acid fillers and Sculptra. The nice thing about using injectable fillers is that you can always add more if desired....
