Pros and cons of nonsurgical nose jobs? I have a witch like nose with a bump on top
Pros and Cons of Nonsurgical Rhinoplasty
Nov 7, 2023
Rather than sculpting the underlying nasal structures with a scalpel, Dr. Khorasani strategically injects dermal fillers to enhance the shape and proportions of the nose.
By carefully injecting dermal fillers in the area around the bump, Dr. Khorasani can minimize the appearance of the protrusion and give your nose a straighter, smoother bridge. Your nose will appear smaller even though volume is being added, because of its improved profile.
A pro of this procedure is that results are…
Liquid rhinoplasty safety?
Risks of Non-surgical Rhinoplasty
Nov 7, 2023
If you had surgical rhinoplasty and are not happy with the outcome, Dr. Khorasani may be able to use fillers to re-contour your nose and refine your result. A disproportionate nasal tip is a common complaint. Fillers can be used to lift the tip of a nose, change the angle if the tip bends, and/or diminish the appearance of a bulbous tip.
The main risk of non-surgical rhinoplasty is vascular occlusion. To minimize this risk, I use a cannula to administer the filler.
Is it possible to close very small piercing holes?
Closing Small Piercing Holes
Nov 7, 2023
Closing standard earlobe piercing holes (18-20g) and then eventually re-piercing them is a common procedure, and the scars left from the closure should not be more noticeable than the original piercing holes. Plastic surgeons and dermatologists often perform this type of procedure, which is known as “piercing hole closure” or “piercing hole revision.”
The process generally involves carefully removing the existing piercing holes and suturing the incisions. The surgeon’s goal is to create as…
Earlobe repair – don’t know if I would need both done?
Earlobe Repair
Nov 7, 2023
If you stretched your earlobes for a brief period as a teenager and now want to correct the appearance to be able to wear regular earrings, you may not necessarily need both earlobes treated. It would be beneficial to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon or a specialist in earlobe repair and discuss your specific situation. They can assess the extent of the stretching and damage on each earlobe and recommend a personalized treatment plan.
In some cases, only one earlobe may require…
My earlobe is torn. Can I fix my left ear?
Earlobe Repair
Nov 7, 2023
1) Torn Earlobe: If your earlobe has been torn due to a ripped earring, it can often be repaired through a surgical earlobe repair. During this surgery, the surgeon will carefully reposition the tissue and suture the earlobe to achieve a more natural appearance. The scar from the initial tear can be minimized, and the earlobe can be restored to its normal shape.
2) Keloid or Hypertrophic Scar from Cartilage Piercing: If you have a raised, white scar from a previous cartilage piercing that is…
Can I correct earlobe appearance on front so piercing hole don’t look so large & earlobe looks smo
Congenital Earlobe Crease
Nov 7, 2023
It’s possible to improve the appearance of a congenital crease or dent in the earlobe, especially if it affects the aesthetics of a piercing hole.
1) Dermal Filler: In some cases, a dermal filler can be used to add volume to the depressed area and create a smoother, more even appearance. This can help reduce the visibility of the piercing hole.
2) Earlobe Reconstruction: It may also be possible to surgically reshape the earlobe. This would involve excising a portion of the creased area and…
Am I a candidate for an earlobe reduction?
Earlobe Reduction
Nov 7, 2023
Yes, earlobe reduction is a possible procedure that can address concerns about the size and shape of your earlobes. If you feel that your earlobes are too large or have an undesirable shape, it’s worth considering earlobe reduction surgery.
During earlobe reduction surgery, excess tissue from the earlobes is carefully removed and reshaped to achieve a more aesthetically pleasing and natural appearance. The specific technique used may vary depending on the individual’s needs and goals. The…
Unattached earlobes post facelift – can they be reattached?
Re-attaching Earlobes Post FaceLift
Nov 7, 2023
What you are referring to is an unfortunate complication of the Facelift surgery and is known as a Pixie deformity. It is absolutely possible to detach them however, you will have a linear or z-shaped scar on the medial aspect of the earlobe. As most earlobes will lose some volume during this procedure, it is recommended to follow up with serial injections of a dermal filler in order to slowly expand the earlobe.
Am I a candidate for earlobe repair?
Earlobe Repair via Excision Technique
Nov 7, 2023
Earlobe tears are very common and often occur from continuously wearing heavy earrings. Dr. Hooman Khorasani employs the excision technique to perform earlobe repair, a procedure that offers several significant benefits.
One of the key advantages of the excision technique is its ability to provide a permanent solution. By excising the damaged area and skillfully suturing the edges, Dr. Khorasani ensures that the earlobe is restored to its natural and aesthetically pleasing shape. This…
Am I a candidate for earlobe repair/repiercing?
Criteria for Earlobe Repair/Repiercing
Nov 7, 2023
The feasibility of repairing your left ear piercing and repositioning it higher will depend on various factors, including the condition of your earlobe, the extent of the previous piercing, and the skills of the surgeon. Scar formation is a natural part of any surgery, but a skilled surgeon should be able to minimize scarring and ensure that it doesn’t significantly impact the aesthetics of the new piercing. They should also be able to position the new piercing in a way that improves…
Ear piercing after earlobe repair. Is it safe to pierce?
Ear piercing after earlobe repair
Nov 7, 2023
Yes. However, we advise patients to refrain from piercing the affected ear for 3-6 months after earlobe repair surgery. Occasionally, I may recommend earlobe rejuvenation with the aid of a dermal filler in order to increase the tensile strength of the earlobe and prevent future tears.
Ideally, the piercing should be slightly to the side of the scar as even a fully mature scar has about 70% of the tensile strength of healthy skin.
It is important to note the healing process can vary from…
My earlobe got split and I want to ask if there is a possibility for it to close up
Split Earlobe Repair
Nov 7, 2023
Unfortunately, a torn earlobe does not repair itself. If it does heal on its own, it will not be symmetric or even, and will not resemble your natural earlobe shape prior to the injury. If you do allow your earlobe to heal on its own, you will still require cosmetic surgery to repair the unsightly defect to restore your ear to its original state.
The procedure is conducted under local anesthesia. During the initial consultation, the tear is evaluated and detailed pre-op instructions are…
Small double chin, no jawline. Is lipo the only way?
Non-surgical skin tightening/fat reduction
Nov 2, 2023
Liposuction is not your only option. Amongst patients of mine that have minimal submental fullness, and are not open to liposuction, I sometimes consider 1-2 kybella treatments, to target the bothersome pocket of fat under the chin.
To augment your natural features, I often opt to use dermal fillers to define the jawline and accentuate the chin. I typically start with a shorter lasting filler, and once we have achieved desired results, consider moving towards longer lasting options. These…
Can I get away with just lipo? I really don’t want tummy tuck
Liposuction Vs. Tummy Tuck
Nov 2, 2023
Due to the amount of skin laxity I can see, based on your photo, a tummy tuck is the only procedure that would fully address your concerns. With that being said liposuction, subdermal skin tightening (BodyTite), and Morpheus8 Body, may give you a fair amount of improvement. These treatment modalities may be a viable option for you, so long as you are aware that they will not achieve the same results as a tummy tuck. The positive to these treatment modalities is that rather than having a scar…
4 months post op lipo of the abdomen and I have these indentations. What can I do to help it go aw
Unevenness post liposuction
Nov 2, 2023
I would not consider any intervention until it has been at least six months since your procedure. Once the six months is over one can consider either a touch-up liposuction procedure to even out some of the elevation, and using the same fat to correct the depressions. Alternatively, one can consider a permanent filler, such as BellaFill to address these concerns.
